Abstract

On transition to digital era, it should followed by the technology and hardware that could helped to processing every data communication. The router is a device capable to do that. The process would running if a routing protocol as EIGRP implemented. EIGRP router is fast convergance, which mean every router will synchronize and determine the best route to a destination immediately, including determine the backup path using an algorithm called Diffusing Update Algorithm (DUAL). Futhermore, the router calculates metric based on default parameter bandwidth and delay. The data communication will be explained using simulation analysis by GNS3. After that, it could be concluded best path and backup path obtained after every router exchange least cost and calculate feasibility condition. Keywords : Cisco, EIGRP, GNS3 Seiring perubahan zaman menuju era digital, harus disertai juga dengan penggunaan teknologi dan perangkat keras yang dapat membantu dalam memproses berbagai bentuk komunikasi data. Router merupakan perangkat yang dapat memprosesnya. Proses tersebut dapat berjalan bila routing protocol seperti EIGRP diimplementasikan. Router EIGRP bersifat fast convergance, artinya router segera saling menyesuaikan untuk menentukan rute terbaik ke sebuah tujuan, termasuk menentukan jalur cadangan menggunakan algoritma DUAL (Diffusing Update Algortihm). Selain itu, router menghitung jarak ke sebuah tujuan berdasarkan default metric yaitu bandwidth dan delay. Bentuk komunikasi data pada protokol EIGRP tersebut akan dijelaskan melalui beberapa simulasi analisis menggunakan GNS3. Setelah dilakukan analisis tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa jalur terbaik dan jalur cadangan didapatkan setelah setiap router melakukan pertukaran least cost dan menghitung feasibility condition.
