Abstract

Along with the development of technological advancements and high business competition in the field of catering, Catering Cafetaria needs to use a website for promotional facilities to develop its business or as a marketing tool to increase sales. The development of information technology used in the catering world can use webservice for interoperability, with features such as wifi, sms gateway, and the use of mobile applications with android can be a reference for further development. The design of the system used UML design methodology. The ordering process for catering to Catering Cafes is still manual, so it often creates obstacles and is considered less effective and efficient in ordering. A web-based catering service ordering information system is needed to overcome this problem. This ordering system is also considered to be more efficient in utilizing and reducing costs for marketing. The design of this catering-based ordering system is made using PHP and MySQL. The benefits of this research are to help Catering Cafetaria to facilitate expenses, online catering reservations and for computerized business progress. Keywords: catering reservation, UML, website, PHP, MySQL Seiring berkembangnya kemajuan teknologi dan persaingan bisnis yang tinggi dibidang catering, maka Cafetaria Catering ini perlu menggunakan sebuah website untuk sarana promosi guna mengembangkan usahanya ataupun sebagai sarana pemasaran guna meningkatkan penjualan. Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang digunakan dalam dunia katering itu dapat menggunakan webservice untuk interoperabilitas, dengan fitur-fitur seperti wifi, sms gateway, maupun penggunaan aplikasi mobile dengan android dapat menjadi acuan untuk perkembangan lebih lanjut. Adapun dalam perancangan system yang digunakan metodologi perancangan UML. Proses pemesanan catering pada Cafetaria Catering masih manual, sehingga sering menimbulkan kendala dan dinilai kurang efektif dan efisien dalam pemesanannya. Sistem informasi pemesanan jasa catering berbasis web sangat dibutuhkan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Sistem pemesanan ini juga dinilai lebih efisien dalam pemanfaatan dan mengurangi biaya pengeluaran untuk pemasaran. Perancangan sistem pemesanan catering berbasis ini dibuat dengan menggunakan PHP dan MySQL. Manfaat dari penelitian ini untuk membantu Cafetaria Catering dalam mempermudah biaya pengeluaran, pemesanan catering secara online dan untuk kemajuan usaha yang terkomputerisasi. Kata Kunci : pemesanan katering, UML, website, PHP, MySQL.
