Abstract
ABSTRAK Laboratorium Technical Excellence yaitu laboratorium dimana tempat pengujian semen, mortar dan beton. Pada Laboratorium Technical Excellence di PT. Holcim Indonesia Tbk memiliki 5 area pengujian. Tata letak pada Laboratorium ini tidak dilakukan berdasarkan pada perencanaan, tetapi hanya menyesuaikan dengan ruang yang ada, sehingga tata letak menjadi kurang teratur. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada Laboratorium Technical Excellence yaitu penempatan mesin atau alat uji yang berjauhan dan tidak sesuai dengan urutan kerja, sehingga mengakibatkan gerakan bolak – balik yang berlebihan pada pekerja. Selain itu juga laboratorium tidak memiliki tempat khusus penyimpanan sampel uji sehingga banyak sampel uji yang diletakkan di sembarang tempat. Maka, perlu dilakukan pemindahan Laboratorium ke area baru dan dilakukan perancangan ulang tata letak di Laboratorium dengan menggunakan metode Systematic Layout Planning, yaitu dengan menentukan derajat kedekatan antar alat uji kemudian, merancang kembali tata letak Laboratorium dan mengusulkan 6S agar meningkatkan produktivitas dan memberikan suasana yang nyaman dan aman bagi pekerja. Berdasarkan metode Systematic Layout Planning didapatkan hasil perbandingan antara Laboratorium sebelum dan sesudah pemindahan, yaitu sebesar ±74,44 m2 dengan area pengujian hanya seluas ±25,94 m2 dan ±66 m2 dengan area pengujian yang lebih luas sebesar ±49,2 m2 . Kata Kunci: Tata letak, Laboratorium, SLP, 6S ABSTRACT Technical Excellence Laboratory is a laboratory where the test of cement, mortar and concrete. At the Technical Excellence Laboratory at PT. Holcim Indonesia Tbk has 5 testing areas. The layout at this Laboratory is not based on planning,but only fit to the existing space, so the layout becomes less organized. The problems that occur at the Technical Excellence Laboratory is the placement of machines or tools that are far apart and not in accordance with the work order, resulting is excessive movement back and forth on workers. In addition, the laboratory doesn’t have a special storage area of test samples so that many test samples are placed in any place. Therefore, it’s necessary to transfer the laboratory to a new area and redesign the layout in the laboratory using the method Systematic Layout Planning method, determine the degree of proximity to the tool, redesign the layout of the Laboratory and propose 6S to improve productivity and provide a comfortable and safe for workers. Based on Systematic Layout Planning method, the result of comparison between laboratory before and after removal, equal to ± 74,44 m2 with test area of ± 25,94 m2 and ± 66 m2 with wide test area equal to ± 49,2 m2.
