Abstract
ABSTRAK Turbin uap merupakan salah satu dari beberapa jenis pembangkit listrik di Indonesia. Turbin uap harus selalu siap beroperasi untuk dapat menghasilkan listrik untuk Indonesia, khususnya Turbin Uap PLTGU Muara Tawar yang menyuplai listrik untuk Jawa-Bali. Sistem turning gear pada turbin uap sangat berperan penting pada proses pengoperasian khususnya ketika proses start, shutdown dan ketika standby. Pompa turning beroperasi untuk memutar poros turbin uap pada kecepatan 4 rpm ketika standby untuk menghindari lendutan pada poros turbin dan 57 rpm ketika turbin uap akan beroperasi. Kegagalan fungsi pada pompa turning gear salah satunya disebabkan oleh pompa turning. Pompa turning adalah jenis pompa aksial piston dengan perpindahan 100
