Abstract
The background of this research begins with the demands of the industrial revolution 4.0, all human labor can be replaced with digital machines, so there arises a question as to where SMK graduates are ready to work. Transformation efforts to improve efficiency in each value chain by integrating digital capabilities and production lines in the industry that refer to improving automation, machine to machine and human to machine communication, artificial intelligence, and developing sustainable technology in the industry. Understanding by vocational students of the concept and ability to identify things needed in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era will have implications for the readiness of skilled and innovative human resources in the workforce. The method used to realize this goal is in the form of activities such as socialization and workshops, and question and answer. Based on the evaluation results obtained from vocational students through question and answer at the end of the session, students' understanding of the concept of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has increased. In addition, students also know more about the things and needs that will develop in the industrial revolution 4.0 era after this research. Key words: industrial revolution 4.0, ability, readiness, employement. Latar belakang penelitian ini berawal dari tuntutan revolusi industri 4.0 semua tenaga manusia dapat diganti dengan mesin digital, maka timbullah satu pertanyaan akan kemanakah lulusan SMK yang siap untuk bekerja. Upaya transformasi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pada setiap rantai nilai dengan mengintegrasikan kemampuan digital dan lini produksi di industri yang mengacu pada peningkatan otomatisasi, komunikasi machine to machine dan human to machine, artificial intelligence, dan pengembangan teknologi berkelanjutan pada industri. Pemahaman oleh siswa SMK terhadap konsep dan kemampuan mengidentifikasi hal-hal yang dibutuhkan di era Revolusi Industri 4.0 akan berimplikasi pada kesiapan sumber daya manusia yang terampil dan inovatif dalam dunia tenaga kerja. Metode yang digunakan untuk mewujudkan tujuan ini berupa aktivitas seperti sosialisasi dan workshop, dan tanya jawab. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang diperoleh dari siswa SMK melalui tanya jawab di akhir sesi, pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep Revolusi Industri 4.0 mengalami peningkatan. Selain itu, siswa juga lebih mengetahui hal-hal serta kebutuhan yang akan berkembang di era revolusi industri 4.0 setelah dilakukan penelitian ini. Kata kunci: revolusi industri 4.0, kemampuan, kesiapan, tenaga kerja.
