Abstract
ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between self- efficacy and stress in students working on a thesis. This study uses a quantitative approach carried out on students at Campus D Mercury University, all faculties with a total of 183 students who are at the age of 20-40 years and are undergraduate students working on thesis. The sampling method uses purposive sampling. This study uses a questionnaire with a GSE scale (Schwarzer and Jerusalem, 1995) which has a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.905 for the self- efficacy scale and PSS stress scale (Cohen, 1997) with a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.944. Based on the results of the Spearman’scorrelation test analysis, the correlation value obtained was -.879 (P<0.05). The results of this study indicate that there is a negative relationship between self-efficacy and stress students who are working on a thesis at Mercu Buana University Campus D. Keywords: Self Efficacy, Stress ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara efikasi diri dengan stres pada mahasiswa yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang dilakukan pada mahasiswa Universitas Mercu Buana Kampus D semua fakultas dengan jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 183 mahasiswa yang berada pada usia 20-40 tahun dan merupakan mahasiswa S1 yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposif sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala GSE (Schwarzer dan Jerusalem, 1995) yang memiliki nilai Alpha Cronbach sebesar0.905 untuk skala efikasi diri dan skala stres PSS (Cohen, 1997) dengan nilai Alpha Cronbach sebesar 0.944. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji korelasiSpearman, menunjukkan nilai korelasi yang didapatkan adalah -.879 (P<0.05). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang negatif antara efikasi diri dengan stres mahasiswa yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi di Universitas Mercu Buana Kampus D.
