Abstract

Technology is growing rapidly marked by the number of things that develop at any time. Technology also helps humans to find information that is very easily obtained from various sources that are widespread. XYZ hotel already has an information system, but does not have an online-based reservation system, because the existing reservation system is still process manually. Hotel room bookings are generally made through a telephone system, where guests are required to call the hotel to make room reservations. Expanding the information system can improve the efficiency of the company by automating and eliminating a number of manual tasks. The purpose of this thesis is to facilitate guests in conducting booking activities, and facilitate employees in the record and process reservations data. However, the exchange of data in applications is still very limited, because the system in the XYZ hotel reservation application not being integrated directly into the entire hotel system itself. So the system still has a function that has not been perfect. Keywords : Android, Mobile Programming, Hotel, Reservation Teknologi berkembang pesat ditandai dengan banyaknya hal-hal yang berkembang setiap saat. Teknologi pun membantu manusia mencari informasi yang sangat mudah didapatkan dari berbagai sumber yang tersebar luas. Hotel XYZ sebenarnya sudah memiliki sistem informasi, namun tidak memiliki sistem pemesanan kamar berbasis online, karena sistem pemesanan kamar yang sudah ada masih bersifat manual. Pemesanan kamar hotel pada umumnya dilakukan melalui sistem telepon, dimana tamu diharuskan untuk menelpon pihak hotel untuk melakukan pemesanan kamar. Memperluas sistem informasi mampu meningkatkan efisiensi perusahaan dengan mengotomatisasi dan menghilangkan sejumlah tugas manual. Tujuan dibuatnya tugas akhir ini untuk memudahkan tamu dalam melakukan kegiatan pemesanan kamar, dan memudahkan pegawai dalam mendata dan memproses pemesanan yang dilakukan. Namun, pertukaran data dalam aplikasi masih sangat terbatas, karena sistem dalam aplikasi pemesanan kamar hotel XYZ berdiri sendiri tanpa terintegrasi langsung oleh keseluruhan sistem hotel itu sendiri. Sehingga sistem masih memiliki fungsi yang belum sempurna. Kata kunci : Android, Mobile Programming, Hotel, Pemesanan
