Abstract

The Effect of Motivation Factors in Perspective of Self Determination Theory (SDT) on Academic Achievement of Students of Vocational School Yadika 11 Fanny Dwi Nurfitriana Karisma Riskinanti, M.Psi., Psikolog Universitas Mercu Buana ABSTRACT This study aims at finding out the five motivational factors in perspective of self determination theory, namely amotivation, external regulation, introjected regulation, identified regulation and intrinsic regulation on academic achievement of students of Vocational School Yadika 11. The operational definition used is motivation in perspective of SDT, which is an intrinsic or extrinsic encouragement that can produce a person's behavior in accordance with certain goals based on amotivation, external regulation, introjected regulation, identified regulation and intrinsic regulation factors measured by the measuring instrument of the academic motivation scale. Academic achievement is a person's effort to achieve selfactualization in the academic field by showing academic work already assessed by teachers or a standardized test or through both of them covering the assessment of attitude, knowledge, skill, scope of material, subject or content or program competences and process. The researcher used a simple regression analysis method processed in IBM SPSS Statistics 21 and produced 1) a positive and significant effect between amotivation and academic achievement (R square=0.042, Sig=0.001, p<0.05), 2) there is no significant effect between external regulation and achievement academic (R square=0.014, Sig=0.054, p<0.05), 3) a positive and significant effect between introjected regulation and academic achievement (R square=0.030, Sig=0.005, p<0.05), 4) a positive and significant effect between identified regulation and academic achievement (R square=0.019, Sig=0.025, p<0.05), 5) a positive and significant effect between intrinsic regulation and academic achievement (R square=0.028, Sig=0.007, p<0.05). Pengaruh Faktor-Faktor Motivasi dalam Perspektif Self Determination Theory (SDT) Terhadap Prestasi Akademik Siswa SMK Yadika 11 Fanny Dwi Nurfitriana Karisma Riskinanti, M.Psi., Psikolog Universitas Mercu Buana ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelima faktor motivasi dalam perspektif self determination theory yaitu amotivation, external regulation, intojected regulation, identified regulation, dan intrinsic regulation terhadap prestasi akademik siswa/I SMK Yadika 11. Definisi operasional yang di gunakan yaitu motivasi dalam perspektif SDT ialah suatu dorongan intrinsik maupun ekstrinsik yang dapat menghasilkan suatu tingkah laku seseorang sesuai dengan tujuan tertentu berdasarkan faktor amotivasi, external regulation, introjected regulation, identified regulation, intrinsic regulation yang diukur dengan alat ukur the academic motivation scale. Prestasi akademik yaitu usaha seseorang untuk mencapai aktualisasi diri dalam bidang akademik dengan cara menunjukkan hasil karya akademik yang telah dinilai oleh guru-guru atau suatu tes baku atau melalui keduanya mencakup penilaian kompetensi sikap, pengetahuan, keterampilan, ruang lingkup materi, kompetensi mata pelajaran atau kompetensi muatan atau kompetensi program, dan proses. Peneliti menggunakan metode analisis regresi sederhana yang diolah dalam IBM SPSS Statistics 21 dan menghasilkan 1) adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara amotivation dengan prestasi akademik (R square= 0,042, Sig= 0,001, p< 0.05), 2) tidak adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara external regulation dengan prestasi akademik (R square= 0,014, Sig= 0,054, p< 0.05), 3) adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara introjected regulation dengan prestasi akademik (R square= 0,030, Sig= 0,005, p< 0.05), 4) adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara identified regulation dengan prestasi akademik (R square= 0,019, Sig= 0,025, p< 0.05), 5) adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara intrinsic regulation dengan prestasi akademik (R square= 0,028, Sig= 0,007, p< 0.05). Kata Kunci : Motivasi, Self Determination Theory, Prestasi Akademik.
