Abstract
SELF-EFFiCACY RELATIONSHIPS AND INDEPENDENCE IN YOUTH ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to explain and examine the relationship between self-efficacy and adolescent autonomy. The type of research used in this study is quantitative correlational. The subjects in this study were adolescents aged 12 to 15 years at Bekasi 15 Middle School. The number of respondents in this study were 306 respondents. The data collection technique used was purposive sampling. Data was collected through two measuring devices, namely the self-efficacy scale from Schwarzer based on the theory of Bandura and the scale of autonomy based on the theory of Steinberg. The analysis technique used is spearman correlation. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between posiitive correlation between self-efficacy and autonomy in adolescents, which showed that the higher self-efficacy,the higher the autonomy in adolescent. Keywords : Self-efficacy, autonomy, and adolescent HUBUNGAN EFIKASI DIRI DAN KEMANDIRIAN PADA REMAJA ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan dan menguji hubungan efikasi diri dan kemandirian remaja. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif korelasional. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah remaja dengan usia 12 sampai 15 tahun di SMPN 15 Bekasi. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 306 responden. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui dua alat ukur yaitu skala efikasi diri dari Schwarzer berdasarkan teori dari Bandura dan skala kemandirian berdasarkan teori dari Steinberg. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah korelasi spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada hubungan korelasi posiitif yang signifikan antara efikasi diri dan kemandirian pada remaja, yang menunjukan bahwa semakin tinggi efikasi diri maka akan semakin tinggi juga kemandirian pada remaja.
