Abstract
BIG FIVE PERSONALITY TRAITS EFFECT TO MARITAL SATISFACTION ON MIDDLE ADULT IN DKI JAKARTA Desy Raskika Darmayanti ABSTRACT The aimed of this study is to determine how much the big five personality traits could be effected to marital satisfaction on middle adult and also to determine which is/are of the five traits in big five personalities that are more likely indicate the effect to marital satisfaction on middle adult. This study has five independents from big five personality traits, those are Openness to Experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism and one dependent variable is marital satisfaction. Sample in this study was 182 respondent consists of 73 Man and 109 Woman aged between 40 to 60 years old who lived in DKI Jakarta. Sampling method using nonprobability snowball sampling. To collecting data in this study using 2 psychological measurement instruments in the form of questionnaires with likert scale, those are ENRICH Marital Satisfaction Scale (EMS) to measure marital satisfaction and Big Five Personality Index (BFI) to measure big five personality traits. Validity testing of the measurement instrument using content validity with expert judgement and to testing the reliability using coefficient Alpha Cronbach and the results for each measurement instrument are 0,836 for EMS and 0,819 to BFI. Data analysis was performed using statistical technique of multiple regression linear with SPSS 24.0 for Macintosh. The result of this study showed that personality traits contribute as much as 12,5% to marital satisfaction and among the five traits of big five personality traits only 2 traits those are extraversion and openness to experience which has a positive influence on marital satisfaction. While the others 3 traits do not have a positive effect. Keyword: Big Five Personality, Marital Satisfaction, Middle Adult PENGARUH BIG FIVE PERSONALITY TRAITS TERHADAP KEPUASAN PERNIKAHAN PADA FASE DEWASA MADYA DI DKI JAKARTA Desy Raskika Darmayanti ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh Big Five Personality Traits terhadap kepuasan pernikahan dan untuk mengetahui dari kelima dimensi kepribadian big five personality traits yang manakah yang berpengaruh secara positif terhadap kepuasan pernikahan pada fase dewasa madya. Penelitian ini memiliki satu variabel bebas, yaitu big five personality traits dan satu variabel terikat, yaitu kepuasan pernikahan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 182 responden laki-laki dan perempuan menikah berusia antara 40 tahun sampai dengan 60 tahun yang berdomisili di DKI Jakarta. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah nonprobability Convinience Sampling. alat pengumpulan data penggunakan dua alat ukur psikologi yaitu EMS untuk mengukur kepuasan pernikahan dan BFI untuk mengukur kepribadian big five personality traits dalam bentuk kuisioner berskala likert untuk seluruh variabel. Untuk menguji kualitas alat ukur menggunakan uji validitas isi dengan expert judgement. Uji reliabilitas menggunakan teknik statistik Alpha Cronbach dengan hasil masing-masing alat ukur EMS 0,836 dan alat ukur BFI 0,819. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisa regresi linear ganda untuk uji hipotesa dengan bantuan SPSS 25 for Macintosh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepribadian big five personality traits berpengaruh secara signifikan sebesar 12,5% terhadap kepuasan pernikahan. Dimensi extraversion dan openness to experience adalah dua dari lima dimensi yang berpengaruh secara positif terhadap kepuasan pernikahan.
