Abstract
Bank intermediation function is as an intermediary for people who surplus funds to be distributed to the people who fund deficit. When viewed from the type of bank ownership of state-owned banks, private banks, foreign bank and bank mixed The research purpose to determine the performance of state-owned banks with a private individual using CAEL ratio consisting of : Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL), operating efficiency (BOPO), Return on Asset (ROA) and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) on 4 (four) state-owned banks and 4 (four) private banks to go public status The data that used in this research from company’s annually financial report Banking period 2006-2010. The method of analysis used in this research was a comparative descriptive analysis using different test of independent sample T-Test. The analysis using the independent sample T-Test results obtained that the state-owned banks and private banks in general have no difference except for the non-performing loans (NPL). The results of this research indicated that the private banks to own NPL is better than state-owned banks. Key words: Comparative Financial Performance of bank owned and private banks, using the ratio of CAEL Bank memiliki fungsi intermediasi yaitu sebagai perantara bagi masyarakat yang memeiliki surplus dana untuk disalurkan kepada masyarakat yang mengalami deficit dana. Jenis bank jika dilihat dari kepemilikan terdiri dari bank BUMN, bank Swasta, bank asing dan bank campuran Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja bank BUMN dan bank swata dengan menggunakan rasio CAEL yang terdiri dari : Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL), Efisiensi Operasi (BOPO), Return on Asset (ROA) dan Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) pada empat bank BUMN dan empat bank swasta nasional berstatus go public. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari Laporan Keuangan Publikasi Tahunan Perusahaan Perbankan Periode 2006 –2010. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif komparatif dengan menggunakan uji beda independent Sample T-Test. Hasil analisis menggunakan Independent Sample T-Test diperoleh hasil bahwa antara bank BUMN dan bank swasta secara umum tidak memiliki perbedaan kecuali untuk Non Performing Loan (NPL) Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa NPL bank swasta nasional memeliki NPL lebih baik dibandingkan NPL bank BUMN. Kata kunci: Perbandingan Kinerja Keuangan Bank BUMN dan Bank Swasta, menggunakan Rasio CAEL
