Abstract

Online lectures that are currently being conducted during the Covid-19 pandemic have greatly influenced student habits, especially the habit of doing academic procrastination. Academic procrastination is the habit of delaying tasks that are usually done intentionally and repeatedly. Self-regulation ability is an individual's ability to determine his behavior in starting, continuing, and completing tasks. Therefore, self-regulation is needed to help students reduce the habit of procrastinating work, in addition to self-regulation, self-efficacy also has an important role so that students are confident in their abilities in completing assignments. Students who have good self-efficacy will choose actions that support them in achieving a goal. This study aims to determine the effect of self-regulation and self-efficacy on academic procrastination. The research design used in this study used multiple linear regression with quota sampling technique. The subjects in this study were regular students 1 Mercu Buana University. The results showed that selfregulation and self-efficacy had an effect on student academic procrastination, both individually and simultaneously. This research is expected to be a reference for various parties to serve as additional knowledge about the phenomenon of Academic Procrastination. Kata Kunci : Self-regulation, Self-efficacy, Academic Procrastination, Covid-19 Pandemic Perkuliahan daring yang dilakukan saat ini pada masa pandemi Covid-19 sangat memengaruhi kebiasaan mahasiswa terutama kebiasaan dalam melakukan prokrastinasi akademik. Prokrastinasi akademik merupakan kebiasaan untuk menunda tugas yang biasanya dilakukan secara sengaja dan berulang. Kemampuan selfregulation merupakan kemampuan individu dalam menentukan perilakunya dalam memulai, melanjutkan, dan menyelesaikan tugas. Oleh karena itu, self-regulation dibutuhkan untuk membantu mahasiswa mengurangi kebiasaan dalam menunda pekerjaan, selain self-regulation, self-efficacy juga memiliki peran penting bagi mahasiswa untuk yakin dengan kemampuan yang dimilikinya dalam menyelesaikan tugas. Mahasiswa yang memiliki self-efficacy yang baik akan memilih tindakan yang mendukung dalam meraih suatu tujuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh antar self-regulation dan self-efficacy terhadap prokrastinasi akademik. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi linear berganda dengan teknik quota sampling. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa reguler 1 Universitas Mercu Buana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-regulation dan self-efficacy memengaruhi prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa baik secara sendiri-sendiri maupun secara bersamaan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi berbagai pihak untuk dijadikan pengetahuan tambahan mengenai fenomena Prokrastinasi Akademik.
