Abstract

Pusat Teknologi Radioisotop dan Radiofarmaka merupakan Laboratorium yang melaksanakan kegiatan penelitian pengembangan iptek nuklir, fasilitas laboratorium harus dilengkapi dengan HVAC (heating, ventilating and air conditioning) merupakan persyaratan yang harus dipenuhi, tidak hanya untuk memberikan kenyamanan dalam ruangan kerja namun berfungsi juga untuk menjaga peralatan agar bekerja optimal serta untuk menjaga keselamatan personil yang ada di dalamnya. Berdasarkan fungsi dan resiko yang dihasilkan, sistim HVAC difasilitas nuklir dibagi dalam beberapa daerah kerja. Pembagian ini berkaitan dengan wilayah kerja yang mempunyai tingkat kontaminasi yang berbeda-beda. Penggunaan pengontrol HVAC menjadi suatu keharusan dalam fasilitas tersebut. Pengoperasian HVAC menggunakan sistem kontrol dengan interlock, sequential dan redundan untuk keselamatan jika terjadi kegagalan sistem, sistem kontrol ini menjadi suatu keharusan pada sistem HVAC yang terpasang pada ruangan laboratorium radioisotop dan radiofarmaka, hal ini mengingat bahwa sistem HVAC tidak boleh berhenti beroperasi saat kegiatan penelitian berlangsung, hal ini bertujuan untuk melindungi pekerja dari bahaya kontaminasi. Sistem otomatisasi dan kontrol HVAC dengan PLC (Programable Logic Controller) digunakan untuk mengintegrasikan bebagai peralatan yang ada dalam satu sistem (Supply udara dan exhaust fan) sehingga memudahkan dalam pemeliharaan, perawatan dan perbaikan serta mengontrol pola alir udara (flow pattern) di dalam ruangan lab sehingga diperoleh suatu kondisi yang dipersyaratkan. Untuk monitoring semua sistem HVAC digunakan computer yang terhubung ke jaringan computer Lokal. === Center for Radioisotope and Radiopharmaceutical Technology is a laboratory for conducting research and development activities of nuclear science and technology. Heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems are required for this type of laboratory facility. This is not only to give comfort in the working place and also to maintain the instruments to work at their optimum condition and for the safety of the workers within. Based on functions and results produced, nuclear facility HVAC systems are divided into some work areas. This division is related with the difference in the contamination level of the work areas. The use of HVAC systems become a necessity in such facilities. Operations of HVAC systems employ control system with interlock, sequential and redundant for the safety if there is system failure. The control systems are necessary in HVAC system used in radioisotope and radiopharmaceutical laboratory. This is due to the requirement that the HVAC systems must not discontinue when research activities take place. This is to protect the workers from contamination. Automation and HVAC control systems with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) are used to integrate various instruments within one system (air supply and exhaust fan). This is for the ease of maintenance, service and repair and to control air flow pattern in the laboratory, so that the required condition is obtained. A computer linked to local computer network is used to monitor all HVAC systems.
