Abstract

ABSTRACT Energy use of the electronic appliance in households that are not accompanied by austerity sparked a huge impact on the environment. Limitations to control and monitor the circumstances that exist at home remotely to turn off electronic equipment that is not effective use of electrical energy and are not conscious of the gas leak that occurred may cause fire. To avoid this situation the application of the concept of the Internet of Things smart home can be a solution. The merger between the microcontroller arduino and raspberry pi makes a smart home products with methods node and gateway. Where the gateway will act a bridge between Rumpi Controller with the radio network node. Radio network between the node and gateway using nRF24l01 who works at a frequency of 2.4GHz. Resulting in an automatic lighting system that can control the lights with a web-based mobile devices. In addition there is a passive infrared sensor to read the motion so that the system can turn on the lights without any command from the user. Sensor MQ-2 are also included in the application of smart home with the aim to detect leakage of LPG so that it can cope with the occurrence of fire due to leakage of gas unconscious. Keyword: Internet of Things, Smart Home, PIR Sensor, MQ-2, nRF240l1 ABSTRAK Penggunaan energi terhadap alat elektronik pada rumah tangga yang tidak diiringi dengan penghematan memicu dampak besar pada lingkungan. Keterbatasan untuk mengontrol dan memantau keadaan yang ada di rumah dari jarak jauh untuk mematikan peralatan elektronik sehingga tidak efektifnya penggunaan energi listrik serta tidak sadarnya kebocoran gas yang terjadi dapat mengakibatkan kebakaran. Untuk mencegah terjadinya hal tersebut penerapan konsep Internet of Things pada smart home dapat menjadi solusinya. Penggabungan antara mikrokontroller arduino dan raspberry pi menjadikan suatu produk smart home dengan metode node dan gateway. Dimana gateway akan bertindak jembatan antara RumPi Controller dengan jaringan radio pada node. Jaringan radio antara node dan gateway menggunakan nRF24l01 yang bekerja pada frekuensi 2.4ghz. Sehingga menghasilkan sistem penerangan otomatis yang dapat mengendalikan lampu dengan perangkat mobile berbasis web. Selain itu terdapat sensor passive infrared untuk dapat membaca gerakan sehingga sistem tersebut dapat menyalakan lampu tanpa harus adanya perintah dari pengguna. Sensor MQ-2 juga disertakan dalam penerapan smart home ini dengan tujuan untuk mendeteksi kebocoran LPG sehingga dapat menanggulangi terjadinya kebakaran akibat kebocoran gas yang tidak disadari.
