PAGE SHEET OF ABSTRACT Digital Comic Based Design Mobile Android with Themes Affection or Compassion “The Bond of Love" Written Accountability Product Design Study Program Department of Art and Creative Design Mercu Buana University Jakarta, 2017 By: Astari Dewi ABSTRACT Understanding compassion according to general dictionary of Indonesian essay W.J.S.Porwadarminta is a feeling of affection, feelings of love or feelings of love to someone. In a married life affection is the key to happiness. This love is the growth of love. The importance of expressing affection to the people closest can be a very positive impact but many people in Indonesia are still rarely do it in modern times. In this modern era also comics have become part of one of the objects that fill the world of entertainment and still can adjust to the development of technology The purpose of this design is: to convey the meaning of the importance of conveying compassion into the form of digital comics that are popular today, with the making of comics into digital form. The purpose of this product design is to provide entertainment with the shape of a story image of a social problem and can be read practically with the existing Webtoon Line platform, and conveying the moral message to the reader and hoping to be useful for life. The conclusion that can be taken is in making the product design of a designer must prepare ideas and concepts and consider the form of layout placement of images and writing to fit and balanced with the product that ultimately consumers feel happy and satisfied with the product results. Keywords: Compassion, Digital Comic, Mobile Android, Line webtoon HALAMAN LEMBAR ABSTRAK Perancangan Komik Digital Berbasis Mobile Android dengan Tema Kasih Sayang “The Bond of Love” Pertanggungjawaban Tertulis Program Studi Desain Produk Jurusan Desain Seni dan Kreatif Universitas Mercu Buana Jakarta, 2017 Oleh: Astari Dewi ABSTRAK Pengertian kasih sayang menurut kamus umum bahasa Indonesia karangan W.J.S.Porwadarminta adalah perasaan sayang, perasaan cinta atau perasaan suka kepada seseorang. Dalam kehidupan berumah tangga kasih sayang merupakan kunci kebahagiaan. Kasih sayang ini merupakan pertumbuhan dari cinta. Pentingnya mengungkapkan kasih sayang kepada orang-orang terdekat dapat menjadi dampak yang sangat positif namun banyak orang di Indonesia yang masih jarang melakukannya di zaman modern ini. Di zaman modern ini pula komik sudah menjadi bagian dari salah satu objek yang mengisi dunia hiburan dan tetap dapat menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan teknologi. Maksud dari perancangan ini adalah: menyampaikan makna dari pentingnya untuk menyampaikan kasih sayang ke dalam bentuk komik digital yang sedang populer di zaman sekarang, dengan pembuatan komik ke dalam bentuk digital. Tujuan rancangan produk ini untuk memberikan hiburan dengan bentuk gambar cerita tentang masalah sosial dan dapat dibaca secara praktis dengan platform yang sudah ada yaitu Line Webtoon, dan menyampaikan pesan moral kepada pembaca dan berharap dapat bermanfaat untuk dijadikan contoh kehidupan. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil adalah dalam membuat rancangan produk seorang perancang harus mempersiapkan ide dan konsep serta mempertimbangkan bentuk tata letak penempatan gambar dan tulisan agar sesuai dan seimbang dengan produk yang pada akhirnya konsumen merasa senang dan puas dengan hasil produk tersebut.
