Abstract

In order to support the production process to run continuously required workers with high productivity capabilities. Therefore the need for components that support and ensure that employees can work optimally. One of the components that support the performance of employees is the provision of food. But often times the number of servings ordered too high compared to the number of employees who eat in the cafeteria. So that it becomes a burden for the company. The purpose of this study to reduce the amount of residual stocks of food that is not eaten by employees through the arrangement of data ordering food before using forecasting into the actual data by using methods commonly used in the production sector, namely Kanban. To find the root of the problem and find things that can help make the goal is accomplished using a fishbone diagram. The result of applying Kanban system on food ordering system, namely the reduction in the number of bookings food and food supplies. It has a real impact on the cost of booking and company KPI targets can be achieved. Keywords : Ordering food, Catering, Kanban
