Abstract

Darel Azhar Modern Islamic Boarding School is a boarding school that prioritizes the quality of religious knowledge and general science for its students. For this reason, a library was established which would help to improve the quality of the knowledge. The library, which has hundreds of religious books, references and general knowledge, is managed by the librarian, where every transaction made by students is recorded using books. This causes the loss of several library books, the less of information systems will have an impact on students' interest to visit, search and read books in the library. To support the effectiveness of book data management and motivate students to read, then the library information system needs to be designed. This application is designed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database server. Key words: Boarding School, Information System, Web, PHP, MySQL Pondok Pesantren Modern Darel Azhar merupakan pesantren yang mengutamakan kualitas keilmuan agama dan ilmu pengetahuan umum untuk para santrinya. Dengan alasan itu, maka didirikanlah sebuah perpustakaan yang akan membantu meningkatkan kualitas keilmuan tersebut. Perpustakaan yang memiliki ratusan buku agama, referensi dan pengetahuan umum tersebut dikelola oleh petugas perpustakaan yang mana setiap transaksi yang dilakukan santri dicatat menggunakan buku. Hal tersebut menyebabkan hilangnya beberapa buku perpustakaan, sistem informasi yang kurang akan berdampak pada minat santri untuk mengunjungi, mencari dan membaca buku di perpustakaan. Untuk meningkatkan pengelolaan data buku dan memotivasi para santri untuk membaca, maka perlu dirancang sistem informasi perpustakaan. Aplikasi ini dirancang dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan server basis data MySQL. Kata kunci: Pondok Pesantren, Sistem Informasi, Web, PHP, MySQL
