Abstract
The study aims to determine errors in the recording of AD and control using the Six Sigma methods. AMC reported an error in the AD recording an average of 24% in the period from January to April 2014. In addition there is a recording error reports 1178 AD reported to the AMC operator. The study was conducted on 12 B737-900ER aircraft with a data AD in August 2014 as many as 428 AD for each plane. The method used is DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analysis, Improvement, Control). Define, serves to determine CTQ with observation. Measure, the sigma value will be obtained at this stage using a DPMO calculation. Analyze, to get the root cause by using Pareto diagrams, 5 Why analyze, and fishbone diagrams. Improvement, the tool used is the analysis of 5W - 1H. Results of research on the define stage shows CTQ problem is the accuracy of the AD status, remarks accuracy, completeness number of AD, AD timeliness with Open status, and the availability of work orders AD with the status Open. Sigma value companies in the recording of AD was 3.01 with the main cause being the methods and human factors. Keywords: Quality, Airworthiness Directives, Six Sigma, Kaizen
