Abstract

As one of the architecture students, work experience is the most important thing besides just taking part in academic activities. It is urgent that prospective architects can explore their experiences if they have entered the world of work. A concrete manifestation of this work experience can consist of internships or work lectures attended by students. In this professional practice, discussing about the Indramayu mall which has the concept of the philosophy of "iket", Iket is a typical headband of West Java, there are many types, one of which is used on this concept in a headband called "Barangbang Semplak". The icon is often associated with the West Javanese with the "Champion" champion not always in accordance with the challenges and so forth. Champion can also be interpreted as a term in the local language which means superior or superior in their fields. Keywords: Experience, Architecture, Professional Practices, Indramayu Mall. Sebagai salah satu mahasiswa arsitektur, pengalaman bekerja merupakan hal terpenting disamping hanya megikuti kegiatan akademik dikampus saja. Hal ini dimaksudkan agar calon arsitek mampu mengeksplorasikan pengalamanya jika sudah terjun dalam dunia kerja. Wujud nyata dari pengalaman kerja ini dapat berupa magang atau kuliah kerja praktek yang diikuti oleh mahasiswa. Pada Praktik profesi ini, membahas tentang Indramayu mall yang memiliki Konsep dari filosofi “iket”, Iket adalah pengikat kepala khas jawa barat ada banyak jenis nya salah satu yang di pakai pada konsep ini ialah ikat kepala yang bernama “Barangbang Semplak”. Iket kerap kali di kaitkan oleh orang Jawa barat dengan “Jawara” jawara tidak selalu dikaitkan dengan perilaku kekerasan dan lain sebagainya. Jawara bisa juga diartikan sebutan dalam istilah bahasa daerah yang artinya adalah unggul atau paling unggul dalam bidang nya. Kata Kunci : Pengalaman, Arsitektur, Praktik Profesi, Indramayu Mall.
