Abstract

In the process of handling letters in the Village BUARAN INDAH still done manually so it requires a lot of time in the process of handling letters. The workflow starts from the head of the RT and then takes care of it to the RW leader and then to the kelurahan. As for that which requires a lot of time is starting from the head of the RT and RW not always at home and makes residents have to go back and forth to the house of the RT and RW chairman so that the time needed is quite long. Another problem is that residents cannot come directly to the kelurahan because there are several obstacles such as busy work, busy family matters which are very important and the house is far from the kelurahan office so residents do not have time to take care of the letter in the kelurahan. Basically, residents want to get a letter from the village easily and quickly. With these problems, a letter management application was made in the BUARAN INDAH Kelurahan using a mobile-based FIFO algorithm. This application uses the FIFO (First In First Out) Algorithm with the method of sending received first will be processed first, so that no delivery of letters is missed. This FIFO method can be seen from the date and time. The application is expected to be able to solve problems that are resolved by citizens in handling mail in the Village BUARAN INDAH easily and quickly. Key words: Android, FIFO, Kelurahan, Surat Dalam proses penanganan surat di Kelurahan BUARAN INDAH masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga membutuhkan banyak waktu dalam proses penanganan surat. Alur pengerjaannya di mulai dari ketua RT kemudian mengurus ke ketua RW lalu ke kelurahan. Adapun yang memerlukan banyak waktu adalah dimulai dari ketua RT dan RW tidak selalu berada di rumah dan membuat warga harus bolak-balik kerumah ketua RT dan RW tersebut sehingga waktu yang dibutuhkan cukup lama. Masalah yang lainnya adalah warga tidak dapat datang langsung ke kelurahan dikarenakan ada beberapa kendala seperti, sibuk kerja, sibuk ada urusan keluarga yang sangat penting dan rumah jauh dari kantor kelurahan sehingga warga tidak sempat dalam mengurus surat di kelurahan .Pada dasarnya, warga ingin mendapatkan surat dari kelurahan dengan mudah dan cepat. Dengan adanya permasalahan tersebut maka dibuat aplikasi pengurusan surat di Kelurahan BUARAN INDAH dengan menggunakan Algoritma FIFO berbasis mobile. Aplikasi ini menggunakan Algoritma FIFO (First In First Out) dengan metode pengiriman yang diterima terlebih dahulu akan diproses terlebih dahulu, sehingga tidak ada pengiriman surat yang terlewat. Metode FIFO ini dapat dilihat dari tanggal dan waktu. Aplikasi yang diharapkan dapat menyelesaikan masalah yang diselesaikan oleh warga dalam penanganan surat di Kelurahan BUARAN INDAH dengan mudah dan cepat. Kata kunci: Android, FIFO, Kelurahan, Surat
