Abstract
The rapid development of information technology directly influence the improvement of the education system, changes in teaching materials and learning media. The learning process is no longer fixated on conventional models that can only be carried out according to the same space and time, but can be implemented in different spaces and different times anyway. The aim of the research is to analyze and design the Learning Management System (LMS) Application to support the training process and identify information needs and problems faced by CV. Web Indonesia in the process of training its employees. Problems encountered include training time constraints, lack of consultation outside the hours of training and lack of media distribution of training materials. Design method used is the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfal model which in this model there are four main phases which are used in sequence, namely; analysis, design, implementation and testing. The results to be achieved is to design Learning Management System (LMS) web-basedapplications which front-end was built using the programming language HTML 5 and CSS 3, and its back-end built using PHP and MySQL. The conclusion is by the application of Learning Management System (LMS) on the CV. Web Indonesia is expected to meet the needs of employees when following the training process which can be flexibly obtained without being tied to space and time so as to get an effective and interactive learning as well as achieving the goal desired by the company. Keywords: Information System, Learning Management System Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi berpengaruh langsung terhadap peningkatan sistem pendidikan, perubahan materi ajar dan media pembelajaran. Proses pembelajaran tidak lagi terpaku pada model konvensional yang hanya bias diselenggarakan sesuai ruang dan waktu yang sama tetapi bias dilaksanakan pada ruang yang berbeda dan waktu yang berlainan pula.Tujuan dari penelitian ialah untuk menganalisis dan merancang Learning Management System (LMS) untuk mendukung proses training dan mengindentifikasi kebutuhan informasi dan permasalahan yang dihadapi CV. Web Indonesia dalam proses training para karyawannya. Masalah yang dihadapi diantaranya keterbatasan waktu training, konsultasi yang minim di luar jam training dan ketiadaan media pendistribusian materi training. Metode perancangan yang digunakan ialah Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) dengan model Waterfall dimana dalam model ini terdapat 4 fase utama yang digunakan secara berurutan yaitu; analisa, perancangan, implementasi dan pengujian. Hasil yang ingindicapai ialah rancangan aplikasi Learning Management System (LMS) berbasis website yang front-end nya dibangun dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman HTML 5 dan CSS 3 serta back-end nya dibangun menggunakan PHP dan MySQL. Kesimpulan yang didapat yaitu dengan adanya aplikasi Learning Management System (LMS) pada CV. Web Indonesia diharapkan dapat memenuhi kebutuhan para karyawan ketika mengikuti proses training yang dapat didapat secara fleksibel tanpa terikat ruang dan waktu sehingga mendapatkan pembelajaran yang efektif dan interaktif serta mencapai tujuan yang diinginkan oleh perusahaan.
