Abstract

Recommender system has been used for decade that we don’t even realize to help daily task that improved the efficiency and make it faster than before, by suggesting any recommendation to improve speed and accuracy to help people make a decision, the goal of this research is maximize the efficiency for people who has any confusion and don’t know what to pick for their movie preferences they are going to watch because of their lack of knowledge of the movie content, by applying this method the user can be suggested to pick movies from other people preferences which user and other user has any common or similarity by applying k-NN(Key Nearest Neighbor) algorithm, the recommender system works on telegram messenger application and applied to telegram bot platform, researcher choose this platform because telegram application can be run on any operating system available this day.the result of this research shows that userbased collaborative filtering has a good result of accuracy of recommendation for the user. Keywords: User-Based Collaborative Filtering, Recommender System, Bot Telegram, K-NN Sistem rekomendasi telah digunakan dalam kegiatan sehari-hari yang bertujuan untuk mempermudah manusia dalam menentukan sebuah keputusan dengan maksud untuk mengurangi kesalahan dan mengurangi waktu yang digunakan untuk mempertimbangkan keputusan, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dalam menentukan pilihan film yang sesuai dengan selera yang berbeda-beda pada setiap user dengan berdasarkan kemiripan yang terdapat dalam user sebagai bahan dalam memberikan rekomendasi dengan menerapkan algoritma k-NN(Key Nearest Neighbor), penerapan sistem ini akan berjalan pada bot telegram yang dapat berjalan disetiap platform yang digunakan saat ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukan penggunaan user based collaborative filtering mendapatkan akurasi yang cukup tinggi dan menghasilkan rekomendasi bagi pengguna Kata Kunci : User Based Collaborative Filtering,Sistem Rekomendasi,Bot Telegram,K-NN
