Abstract

Information technology in the modern era has a very important role in people's lives because it can help facilitate work in various professional fields, the internet also an important role because the internet has become a necessity, for the world of education many students use the internet [1] in this modern era with all positive and negative information in it. Therefore the use of the internet needs to be controlled especially for children so that it is not misused and can use it wisely. Based on the above problems, we are students from the University of Mercu Buana conducted a Community Service Program at Rawa Gempol Elementary School, Tangerang Regency, in the program "Introduction to Information Technology and Wise Ways to Use the Internet in Elementary School Students of Rawa Gempol Elementary School" which is the background of students and students SD Negeri Rawa Gempol, requires a more introduction to Information Technology and guidance on how to use the internet wisely, then the problem formulation appears as follows: How to introduce Information Technology and Wise Ways to Use the Internet in Elementary School Students of Rawa Gempol?. Can know various kinds of information technology and be able to protect themselves when using the internet and understand about the use of the internet properly so that it can improve the learning process and add insight. Key words: information technology, internet, students Teknologi informasi di era modern saat ini memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat karena dapat membantu mempermudah pekerjaan dalam berbagai bidang profesi, internet pun berperan penting karena internet sudah menjadi suatu kebutuhan, untuk didunia pendidikan pelajar jamak menggunakan internet [1] di era modern ini dengan semua informasi yang bersifat positif maupun negatif ada didalamnya. Oleh karena itu penggunaan internet perlu dikontrol khususnya untuk anak-anak agar tidak disalah gunakan dan bisa memanfaatkannya secara bijak. Berdasarkan masalah di atas kami Mahasiswa Universitas Mercu Buana melakukan Program Pengabdian Masyarakat di SD Negeri Rawa Gempol, Kabupaten Tangerang, dalam program "Pengenalan Teknologi Informasi Dan Cara Bijak Menggunakan Internet Pada Siswa SD Negeri Rawa Gempol” yang melatar belakangi program ini yaitu karena Siswa dan Siswi SD Negeri Rawa Gempol, membutuhkan pengenalan lebih mengenai Teknologi Informasi serta pengarahan bagaimana memanfaatkan internet dengan bijak. Lalu muncul rumusan masalah sebagai berikut, Bagaimana mengenalkan Teknologi Informasi Dan Cara Bijak Menggunakan Internet Pada Siswa SD Negeri Rawa Gempol?. Pada Program Pengabdian Masyarakat ini diharapkan siswa dapat mengetahui macam-macam teknologi informasi serta mampu melindungi diri saat menggunakan internet dan paham mengenai pemanfaatan internet dengan baik agar dapat meningkatkan proses belajar serta menambah wawasan.
