Abstract

Advances in the world of technology more quickly, which we should not be left behind by advances in information technology, therefore, we are here doing socialization to students in SMPS DAARUT TASBIH AR-RAFI through outreach programs held by the University of Mercubuana, through this program we are in for a group, our group carries a theme about a basic introduction to computer network and also simulation using Cisco Packet Tracer. We bring this theme aims to let at least students can understand how important the study basic computer network, because all the technology is always connected with these devices. Where the computer is used as a medium in the need to do all the process all aspects of field work, and also a computer would have been connected into a new network started from a network that only the scale is small, such as a LAN (Local Area Network), or large scale Networks, i.e. networks of WAN (Wide Area Network) or more or less like the internet. Key words: Computer Network, Cisco Packet Tracer, Community Service. Kemajuan dunia Teknologi semakin cepat, dimana kita tidak boleh tertinggal oleh kemajuan Teknologi Informasi tersebut, oleh karena itu, kami disini melakukan sosialisasi kepada siswa - siswi di SMPS DAARUT TASBIH AR-RAFI melalui program pengabdian masyarakat yang diadakan oleh Universitas Mercubuana, melalui program ini kami di bagi berkelompok, kelompok kami membawakan tema tentang Pengenalan Dasar Jaringan Komputer dan Juga Simulasi Menggunakan Cisco Packet Tracer. Kami membawakan tema ini bertujuan agar setidaknya siswa - siswi dapat memahami betapa pentingnya mempelajari dasar Jaringan Komputer, karena semua teknologi selalu terhubung dengan perangkat komputer tersebut.Dimana komputer digunakan sebagai sebuah media yang di perlukan untuk melakukan segala proses segala aspek bidang pekerjaan, dan juga komputer pastinya terhubung kesebuah jaringan mulai dari Jaringan yang hanya sekala kecil, seperti LAN (Local Area Network), ataupun Jaringan sekala besar, yaitu jaringan WAN (Wide Area Network) atau kurang lebih seperti internet. Kata kunci: Jaringan Komputer, Cisco Packet Tracer, Pengabdian Masyarakat.
