Abstract

Lecturer competencies determine the quality of the teaching process in terms of the suitability of the academic activities by the lecturer. In producing competent teaching staff and in accordance with the university's vision and mission, it is certainly necessary to do various efforts to achieve these goals, one of which is through the performance evaluation of teaching lecturers. The evaluation of teaching and learning activities is usually done by distributing questionnaires to students, then students fill out the questionnaire. After completion, the questionnaire will be returned to the party handling the Research and Community Service at the university as an evaluation material for the lecturer concerned. Based on this, the writer wants to make a web application to classify the lecturer performance evaluation data using the C4.5 algorithm with the decision tree method. This is done so that the lecturers can know in advance what indicators are most influential on the assessment made by students towards lecturers so that they can improve their teaching performance in the future and find out the patterns or trends of students in evaluating the teaching performance of lecturers through the questionnaire. Algorithm, Classification, Decission Tree, Web Aplication Kompetensi dosen menentukan kualitas pelaksanaan proses mengajar dalam hal kesesuaian pelaksanaan kegiatan akademik oleh dosen. Dalam menghasilkan tenaga pengajar yang berkompeten dan sesuai dengan visi misi universitas, sudah tentu diperlukan berbagai upaya yang bisa dilakukan untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, salah satunya melalui evaluasi kinerja mengajar dosen. Pelaksanaan evaluasi kegitan belajar mengajar biasanya dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan kuisioner kepada mahasiswa, kemudian mahasiswa mengisi lembar kuisioner tersebut. Setelah selesai diisi, lembar kuisioner akan dikembalikan kepada pihak yang menangani Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat yang ada di universitas sebagai bahan evaluasi terhadap dosen yang bersangkutan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut penulis ingin membuat suatu aplikasi web untuk mengklasifikaskan data evaluasi kinerja dosen tersebut menggunakan algoritma C4.5 dengan metode decision tree. Hal ini dilakukan agar dosen dapat mengetahui lebih awal indikator apa yang paling berpengaruh terhadap penilaian yang dilakukan mahasiswa terhadap dosen sehingga dapat memperbaiki kinerja mengajarnya kedepan serta mengetahui pola atau kecenderungan mahasiswa dalam melakukan penilaian terhadap kinerja mengajar dosen melalui lembar kuisioner yang di berikan.
