Abstract

ABSTRAK Computer Numerical Controlled atau yang sering dikenal dengan istilah mesin CNC adalah suatu mesin yang dikontrol oleh komputer dengan menggunakan bahasa numerik sesuai dengan standar ISO. Salah satu komponen terpenting dari sebuah mesin CNC adalah sistem pendingin proses cutting, atau biasa disebut coolant. Penelitian ini mengacu pada mesin CNC Robodrill α-T14iFs. Penentuan parameter-parameter penting dalam pengontrolan coolant agar memenuhi kualitas coolant baik yaitu optimal dalam media pendingin, memberikan lubrikasi yang optimal dan tidak bertumbuhnya bakteri dalam coolant. Parameter dari coolant itu sendiri adalah kadar pH, konsentrasi larutan dan suhu coolant. Kadar pH memiliki peranan penting dalam sifat korosif coolant, semakin tinggi nilai pH, sifat korosifnya semakin tinggi, karena memiliki kecenderungan untuk membentuk kerak dan kurang efektif dalam membunuh bakteri. Konsentrasi larutan adalah komposisi dari coolant murni dengan air, konsentrasi ini sangat berpengaruh terhadap kualitas produk yang dihasilkan dan juga terhadap cutting tools. Suhu coolant harus dijaga untuk memaksimalkan pendinginan terhadap proses cutting pada mesin. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah terkait rancang bangun sistem coolant pada mesin CNC Fanuc Robodrill α-T14iFs berbasis Arduino Mega 2560. Sistem ini mengontrol parameter-parameter penting coolant seperti kadar pH, konsentrasi larutan dan suhu coolant. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata akurasi pembacaan sensor pH Electrode E201-BNC adalah 97,9% dengan kesalahan pembacaan sensor yaitu 2,1%, rata-rata akurasi pembacaan sensor TDS SEN0244 adalah 72,61% dengan error 27,39%, dan untuk sensor konduktivitas memiliki tingkat akurasi 3,87% dengan error 96,13% dan pembacaan sensor suhu DS18B20 rata-rata akurasinya 99,85% dengan error 0,15%. Data kemudian ditampilkan pada LCD. Jika salah satu dari parameter coolant tersebut ada yang diluar standar, maka sistem akan mengeluarkan peringatan berupa nyala LED, bunyi Buzzer dan tampilan peringatan pada LCD. Sistem ini hanya dapat bekerja secara manual, karena sensor TDS SEN0244 tidak bisa membaca konsentrasi larutan dengan tepat, maka mode otomatis tidak bisa dijalankan. Pada mode manual, valve coolant dan valve air hanya bisa diaktifkan dengan tombol. Kata kunci : Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC), coolant, kadar pH, konsentrasi larutan, suhu, Arduino Mega 2560. ABSTRACT Computer Numerical Controlled or commonly known as CNC machine is a machine that is controlled by a computer using numerical languages in accordance with ISO standards. One of the most important components of a CNC machine is the cooling system of the cutting process, or so-called coolant. This research refers to the Robodrill α-T14iFs CNC machine. Determination of important parameters in controlling coolant in order to meet good coolant quality, which is optimal in the cooling medium, provides optimal lubrication and no growth of bacteria in the coolant. The parameters of the coolant itself are the pH level, the concentration of the solution and the temperature of the coolant. The pH level has an important role in the corrosive nature of the coolant, the higher the pH value, the higher the corrosive nature, because it has a tendency to form crust and is less effective in killing bacteria. Concentration of the solution is the composition of pure coolant with water, this concentration is very influential on the quality of the product produced and also on cutting tools. Coolant temperature must be maintained to maximize cooling of the cutting process on the machine. Research carried out is related to the design of coolant systems on the CNC Fanuc Robodrill α-T14iFs based on Arduino Mega 2560. This system controls important coolant parameters such as pH levels, solution concentrations and coolant temperatures. The results showed the average accuracy of the pH sensor reading Electrode E201-BNC was 97.9% with a sensor reading error of 2.1%, the average accuracy of the TDS SEN0244 sensor reading was 72.61% with an error of 27.39%, and for conductivity sensors have an accuracy rate of 3.87% with an error of 96.13% and a temperature sensor reading DS18B20 an average accuracy of 99.85% with an error of 0.15%. Data is then displayed on the LCD. If any of the coolant parameters are out of standard, the system will issue a warning in the form of an LED flash, a Buzzer sound and a warning display on the LCD. This system can only work manually, because the TDS sensor SEN0244 cannot read the concentration of the solution correctly, so the automatic mode cannot be started. In manual mode, valve coolant and air valve can only be activated by a button.
