Abstract

ABSTRAK Tingginya jumlah penumpang membuat PT KAI menambah armada kereta api di Indonesia sehingga meningkatnya kepadatan lalu lintas perkeretaapian. Dengan padatnya frekuensi perjalanan kereta api maka diperlukan kehandalan dan kecepatan dari peralatan terkait pelayanan perjalanan kereta api. (Nurtjahyo, 2017). Dengan kemajuan teknologi yang berkembang saat ini sistem kendali perjalanan kereta api mengalami perubahan dari yang semula meja pelayanan jenis Local Control Panel (LCP) diubah menjadi meja pelayanan jenis Visual Display Unit (VDU). Dengan menggunakan komputer memudahkan tenaga teknisi dalam melakukan perawatan berkala dan dapat menekan angka gangguan sistem seminimal mungkin karena terdapat dua buah PC yang digunakan sebagai meja pelayanan, dimana satu dari dua PC tersebut difungsikan sebagai cadangan apabila PC utama mengalami gangguan. Meja pelayanan jenis VDU dinilai lebih efisien secara tempat dan juga waktu pengoperasiannya, meja pelayanan jenis VDU ini cocok digunakan pada stasiun-stasiun besar. (Nurtjahyo, 2017) Pada tugas akhir ini kami melakukan analisa terkait penggantian meja pelayanan jenis LCP menjadi meja pelayanan jenis VDU terhadap kinerja tenaga pelaksana perawatan di PT KAI. Dari beberapa data yang diambil dapat menunjukan bahwa meja pelayanan jenis digital lebih bisa menekan angka kesalahan alat dan memudahkan tenaga pelaksana perawatan dalam melakukan kegiatan perawatan. Kata Kunci : Meja Pelayanan, LCP, VDU, Sistem kendali ABSTRACT The high number of passengers makes PT KAI add to the railroad fleet in Indonesia so that railroad traffic density increases. With the density of train travel frequencies, reliability and speed of equipment related to train travel services is needed. With the advances in technology that is developing at this time the train travel control system has changed from what was originally an analog service desk namely the Local Control Panel (LCP) changed to a digital service desk that is the Visual Display Unit (VDU). Using a computer makes it easy for technicians to perform regular maintenance and can reduce the number of system disturbances to a minimum because there are two PCs that are used as service desks, where one of the two PCs is used as a backup if the main PC is interrupted. VDU type service desks are considered to be more efficient in place and also the operating time, this VDU type service desks are suitable for use at large stations. In this final project, we conduct an analysis related to the effect of replacing analog service desks into digital service desks on the performance of maintenance staff at PT Kereta Api Indonesia. From some of the data captured can show that the digital type of service desk is more able to reduce the number of equipment errors and make it easier for maintenance staff to perform maintenance activities.
