Abstract

Caring of children with disabilities is certainly not easy for mothers, mothers with children disabilities need the endurance and support to able a struggle condition without feeling depressed and unhappy. This research is focused on the marital satisfaction of mothers who have children with disabilities concerning resilience at Institution X Tangerang. The research approach used is a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires. The sampling technique in this study used the Non Probability Sampling technique, with a total of 80 respondents in range of age 22 – 60 years old (M=2.49, SD=0.503). Resilience Quotient (RQ) Test from Reivich & Shatte (2000) and ENRICH Marital Satisfaction from Olson & Fowers (1993) is used to determine the level of resilience and marital satisfaction. Pearson Product Moment is used to test the relationship between the two variables. Based on research of the study obtained values of r = 0,586 and p = 0,000. The result showed a positive and significant relationship between marital satisfaction and resilience. Keywords: Marital Satisfaction, Resilience, Mother with Children Disabilities Merawat anak yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus tentu tidak mudah bagi seorang ibu, ibu dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus memerlukan ketahanan dan dukungan yang memadai agar ibu mampu untuk berjuang tanpa merasa tertekan dan tidak bahagia. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada kepuasan pernikahan ibu yang memiliki anak berkebutuhan khusus dalam hubungannya dengan resiliensi di Lembaga X Tangerang. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan penyebaran kuesioner. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Non Probability Sampling, dengan keseluruhan responden sebanyak 80 orang dengan rentang usia 22 – 60 tahun (M=2.49, SD=0.503). Resilience Quotient (RQ) Test dari Reivich & Shatte (2000) dan ENRICH Marital Satisfaction dari Olson & Fowers (1993) digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat resiliensi dan kepuasan pernikahan. Pearson Product Moment digunakan untuk menguji hubungan antara kedua variabel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapat nilai r = 0,586 dan p = 0,000. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kepuasan pernikahan dengan resiliensi. Kata Kunci: Kepuasan Pernikahan, Resiliensi, Ibu dengan Anak ABK.
