Abstract

This research aims to determine the connection between phubbing behavior towards marriage satisfaction of married college students at X University by means of using accidental sampling technique to a hundred (100) respondents. The instrument that being use for this research was adapted Enrich Marital Satisfaction Scale with coefficient of α = 0,843 by significance value of 0,000 (p< 0,05) and Phubbing Scale with coefficient of α = 0,729 by significance value of 0,039 (p< 0,05). This research results that there is significant negative relationship between Phubbing Behavior and Marriage Satisfaction with value of r = -0.271 by significance value of 0,006 (p < 0,05) which indicates that the higher the phubbing then the marriage satisfaction will become lower, vice versa, the lower the phubbing then the marriage satisfaction will become higher. Keyword : Phubbing Behavior, Marital Satisfaction Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Perilaku Phubbing terhadap Kepuasan Pernikahan pada mahasiswa yang sudah menikah di Universitas X dengan sampel yang berjumlah 100 responden dengan pemilihan sample menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Instrument pada penelitian ini adalah Enrich Marital Satisfaction Scale yang telah diadaptasi dengan koefisien α = 0,843 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p< 0,05) dan Phubbing Scale dengan koefisien α = 0,729 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,039 (p< 0,05). Penelitian ini menghasilkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara Perilaku Phubbing dengan Kepuasan Pernikahan dengan nilai r = -0.271 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,006 (p < 0,05) yang menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi phubbing maka semakin rendah kepuasan pernikahannya dan begitu pula sebaliknya, semakin rendah phubbing maka semakin tinggi kepuasan pernikahannya.
