Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between resilience and academic procrastination on students at the Mercu Buana University Regular 1. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a negative relationship between resilience and academic procrastination on students. The population used in this study were regular 1 students of Mercu Buana University, totaling 7558 students. The sample in the study amounted to 380 active students batch 2018 - 2015. The method in this study is a quantitative method, the data collection tool uses the scale of academic resilience and procrastination. Hypothesis testing is done by using Spearmen correlation techniques with SPSS 20 for Windows. The results of this study indicate a significant negative relationship between resilience and academic procrastination, which has a correlation coefficient of -0.801 and sig. <0.05, which is 0,000, which means that the higher the resilience of students, the lower the tendency to do academic procrastination. On the contrary, the lower the student's resilience, the higher the tendency to do academic procrastination. Keyword : Resilience, Academic Procrastinastion Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara resiliensi dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa Universitas Mercu Buana reguler 1. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah adanya hubungan negatif antara resiliensi dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Universitas Mercu Buana reguler 1 yang berjumlah 7558 mahasiswa. Sampel pada penelitian berjumlah 380 mahasiswa aktif angkatan 2018 – 2015. Metode pada penelitian ini merupakan metode kuantitatif, alat pengumpulan data menggunakan skala resiliensi dan prokrastinasi akademik. Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik korelasi Spearman dengan program SPSS 20 for Windows. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara resiliensi dengan prokrastinasi akademik, yang memiliki koefisien korelasi -0,801 dan nilai sig. < 0,05 yaitu 0,000 yang berarti semakin tinggi resiliensi mahasiswa, maka kecenderungan untuk melakukan prokrastinasi akademik semakin rendah. Sebaliknya semakin rendah resiliensi mahasiswa, maka kecenderungan untuk melakukan prokrastinasi akademik semakin tinggi. Kata Kunci : Resiliensi, Prokrastinasi Akademik
