Abstract
ABSTRAK Antena mikrostrip memiliki banyak variasi bentuk patch peradiasi yang berbeda-beda, salah satunya adalah bentuk segitiga sama sisi. Antena jenis ini memiliki sifat pola radiasi directional. Tugas akhir ini merancang sebuah antena mikrostrip berbentuk triangular array menggunakan teknik DGS (Defected Ground Structure). Teknik ini diharapkan mampu memperbaiki karakteristik dari antena. Software yang diperlukan untuk merancang antena ini adalah Computer Simulation Technology (CST). Dari hasil simulasi pada software tersebut dibandingkan dengan hasil realisasi dengan menggunakan nilai dari parameter antena yaitu VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Radio), return loss, bandwidth, gain, dan bentuk pola radiasi. Sehingga didapat analisa pengaruh dari teknik DGS terhadap mikrostrip berbentuk patch triangular array pada frekuensi 5.8 GHz ini dapat memperbaiki karakteristik pada antena. Dari hasil pengukuran didapatkan nilai return loss sebesar -26.448, VSWR 1.1, bandwidth 242 MHz dan gain 3.4 dB. Sedangkan hasil simulasi didapat nilai return loss sebesar -15.90, vswr 1.381, bandwidth 335 MHz dan gain sebesar 5.593 dB. Dimana pada hasil keseluruhan simulasi dan pengukuran dapat dikatakan antena mikrostrip patch triangular array dengan DGS segitiga masih dalam range spesifikasi antena yang baik, dan jika dibandingan hasil tanpa dan dengan menggunakan teknik DGS, hasil parameter yang lebih bagus didapat dari antena mikrostrip menggunakan tenik DGS. Kata Kunci: Antena Mikrostrip, DGS (Defected Ground Structure), Patch Triangular Array ABSTRACT Microstrip antennas have many variations in the shape of the different radiation patches, one of which is an equilateral triangle. This type of antenna has directional radiation pattern properties. This final project designs a triangular array microstrip antenna using the DGS (Defected Ground Structure) technique. This technique is expected to improve the characteristics of the antenna. The software needed to design this antenna is Computer Simulation Technology (CST). From the simulation results on the software are compared with the results of the realization using the value of the antenna parameters namely VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Radio), return loss, bandwidth, gain, and the shape of the radiation pattern. In order to obtain the analysis of the effect of the DGS technique on the microstrip patch shaped triangular array at a frequency of 5.8 GHz it can improve the characteristics of the antenna. From the measurement results obtained return loss values of -26,448, VSWR 1.1, bandwidth of 242 MHz and gain of 3.4 dB. While the simulation results obtained return value of -15.90, vswr 1.381, 335 MHz bandwidth and gain of 5,593 dB. Where the overall results of simulations and measurements can be said that the triangular array microstrip patch antenna with the triangle DGS is still within the range of a good antenna specification, and when compared to results without and using the DGS technique, better parameter results are obtained from the microstrip antenna using the DGS technique.
