Abstract

Youtube is a media sharing site, which is a type of social media that facilitates users for various media, ranging from video, audio, and images. Videos on chabbel youtube have a variety of content, one of which is a social experiment, social experiment can be defined as research on the impact of policy interventions on social communities, individuals, or certain groups of people with real human interactions. Social experiment is an experiment by taking samples from humans or the social environment. This research was conducted to determine the effect of the Youtube Social Experiment Diary Sarwendah on the Attitude of Empathy for the People of Benteng Makasar. This research uses Uses And Effect Theory. This theory suggests that the basic assumptions of this theory emphasize how the use of media produces multiple effects on an individual. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of explanatory research. The method used is a survey method where this method is a study that takes a basic sample from a population of data using a question or questionnaire as a basic data collection tool. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the probability level is 0.001 which is less than the significance level value of 0.05 (signification level = 5%) money means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Or it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the Youtube Social Experiment Diary Sarwendah Show on Empathy Attitudes for the People of Benteng Makasar Tangerang City, with a correlation number of 0.323, which indicates that the level of relationship (correlation) in this study is relatively weak. Keywords: Youtube, Social Experiment, Community, Empathy Youtube merupakan situs berbagi media (media sharing) , yakni jenis media sosial yang menfasilita penggunanya untuk berbagai media, mulai dari vieo,audio, dan gambar. Video di chabbel youtube memiliki beragam konten, salah satunya adalah social experiment, social experiment dapat didefinisikan sebagai penelitian tentang dampak dari intervensi kebijakan terhadap masyarakat sosial, individu, atau sekelompok orang tertentu dengan subjek interaksi antar manusia secara nyata. Social experiment adalah eksperimen dengan mengambil contoh sampel dari manusia atau lingkungan sosial. Penelitian yang dilakukan ini untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Tayangan Youtube Social Experiment Diary Sarwendah Terhadap Sikap Empati Bagi Masyarakat Benteng Makasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan Teori Uses And Effect. Teori ini mengemukakan bahwa asumsi dasar teori ini lebih menekankan bagaimana penggunaan media menghasilkan banyak efek terhadap suatu individu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan tipe penelitian eksplanatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei dimana metode ini merupakan penelitian yang mengambil sampel pokok dari suatu populasi data menggunakan agket pertanyaan atau kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpulan data pokok. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat probabilitas sebesar 0.001 yakni lebi kecil dari nilai taraf signifikasi sebesar 0.05 (taraf signifikasi = 5%) uang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Ataupu dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara Tayangan Youtube Social Experiment Diary Sarwendah Terhadap Sikap Empati Bagi Masyarakat Benteng Makasar Kota Tangerang, dengan angka korelasi 0.323, yang menujukan bahwa tingkat hubungan (korelasi) pada penelitian ini tergolong lemah.
