Abstract
SELF-EFFICACY AND SELF-ESTEEM DOMESTIC WORKERS ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to explain and examine differences in self-efficacy and self-esteem for domestic workers in adolescence and adulthood. The type of research used in this study is comparative quantitative. Subjects in this study were domestic workers with adolescents age range10 – 22 years and domestic workers adults with the age range of 23 – 50 years. The total of respondents in this study weas 60 respondents. The data retrieval technique used is accidental sampling. The data was collected through two measuring instruments, namely the SelfEfficacy Scale that the researcher compiled based on the theory of Bandura (1997) and the Self-Esteem Scale which researchers also compiled based on Rosenberg's theory (1965). The analysis technique used is One Way Anova. The results showed that there were differences in self-efficacy and self-esteem of domestic workers based on age and length of work. Keywords: self-efficacy, self-esteem, domestic workers PERBEDAAN SELF-EFFICACY DAN SELF-ESTEEM PEKERJA RUMAH TANGGA BERDASARKAN USIA DAN LAMA BEKERJA ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan dan menguji perbedaan selfefficacy dan self-esteem pada pekerja rumah tangga (PRT) usia remaja dan dewasa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif komparatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah pekerja rumah tangga (PRT) dengan remaja dengan rentang usia 10 – 22 tahun dan pekerja rumah tangga (PRT) dewasa dengan rentang usia 23 – 50 tahun. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 60 responden. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui dua alat ukur, yaitu Skala Self-Efficacy yang peneliti susun berdasarkan teori dari Bandura (1997) dan Skala Self-Esteem yang juga peneliti susun berdasarkan teori Rosenberg (1965). Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah One Way Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan self-efficacy dan self-esteem pekerja rumah tangga (PRT) berdasarkan usia dan lama bekerja.
