Abstract

ABSTRAK Pada zaman yang sudah modern ini perkembangan teknologi informasi sangat pesat dan salah satu perkembangannya adalah teknologi Long Term Evolution (LTE). LTE merupakan sebuah standar komunikasi nirkabel untuk akses data dengan kecepatan tinggi untuk layanan perangkat mobile yang mampu mendukung semua aplikasi baik voice, data, maupun video. Antena termasuk salah satu komponen yang fungsinya sangat penting karena digunakan dalam proses pengiriman dan penerimaan informasi. Secara fisik antena mikrostrip cukup sederhana karena hanya berupa lempengan seperti Printed Circuit Board (PCB). Pada tugas akhir ini telah dilakukan perancangan dan pengukuran antena. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan antena dapat bekerja pada frekuensi 1,877 GHz, return loss -23,265 dB, VSWR 1,149, dan gain 6,5 dB. Pergeseran frekuensi yang dirancang dengan hasil pengukuran disebabkan oleh tiga faktor yaitu pembatasan ground plane pada sisi bawah substrate, pengaturan jarak antar saluran catu pada patch serta ukuran panjang dan bentuk slot yang diberikan kepada sisi patch. Faktor selanjutnya yang mempengaruhi perbedaan dari hasil perancangan dan pengukuran adalah adanya sumber-sumber luar selain sumber input yang berasal dari signal generator yang mempengaruhi dan menginterferensi antena sehingga kurang akuratnya alat ukur. Kata Kunci : Antena Mikrostrip, LPDA, VSWR, Return Loss ABSTRACT In this modern era the development of information technology is very rapid and one of the developments is the Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology. LTE is a wireless communication standard for high-speed data access for mobile device services that is capable of supporting all applications for voice, data and video. Antenna is one of the components whose function is very important because it is used in the process of sending and receiving information. Physically the microstrip antenna is quite simple because it is only in the form of plates such as a Printed Circuit Board (PCB). In this final project, antenna design and measurement has been carried out. The measurement results show the antenna can work at a frequency of 1.877 GHz, return loss -23.265 dB, VSWR 1.149, and gain 6.5 dB. The frequency shift designed with the measurement results is caused by three factors, namely the limitation of the ground plane on the lower side of the substrate, the adjustment of the distance between the supply channels on the patch and the length and shape of the slots given to the patch side. The next factor influencing differences in design and measurement results is the presence of external sources other than the input source from the signal generator that affect and interfere with the antenna so that the measuring instrument is less accurate.
