Abstract

This study aims to determine the right business improvement so it can reduce the number of complaints on TANAMAS products. There are a lot of complaints with the same case and occur repeatedly for years. The business process that already under way is still not suitable, there is no documentation, and not standardized record for each activity, and also the business processes do not have standardized procedures because based on current conditions which practiced as company consuetude and the explanation of business process gone through conversations without assistance with supporting documents so that the implementation has not run properly and consistently. This research used five-phase approach to business process improvement method with streamlining techniques and using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) in the current process (As is) and designing business process improvements (To Be). The effectiveness and efficient analysis also comparison of the number of complaints on business processes (As Is) with business processes that have been improved (To Be) is conducted to determine whether the business processes that have been repaired can reduce the number of complaints on TANAMAS products. The results showed that the improved business processes were more effective and efficient and obtained a decrease in the number of complaints by 12.04%. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbaikan bisnis yang tepat sehingga dapat menurunkan angka komplain pada produk TANAMAS. Latar belakang untuk melakukan penelitian ini adalah adanya komplain dengan kasus yang sama dan terjadi berulang. Proses bisnis yang telah berjalan masih tidak sesuai, belum terdokumentasi, belum adanya rekaman yang terstandarisasi untuk setiap aktivitasnya, masih ada proses bisnis yang belum mempunyai prosedur yang terstandarisasi untuk setiap aktivitasnya karena kondisi sekarang masih berupa pelaksanaan berdasarkan kebiasaan serta dalam penjelasannya hanya via bicara tanpa dibantu dengan dokumen pendukung sehingga dalam pelaksanaannya belum berjalan dengan tepat dan konsisten. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan lima fase business process improvement dengan teknik streamlining dan menggunakan Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN) pada proses saat ini (As is) dan merancang perbaikan proses bisnis (To Be). Analisa efektif dan efisien serta perbandingan jumlah komplain pada proses bisnis (As Is) dengan proses bisnis yang telah dilakukan perbaikan (To Be) dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah proses bisnis yang telah dilakukan perbaikan dapat menurunkan jumlah komplain pada produk TANAMAS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses bisnis yang telah diperbaiki lebih efektif dan efisien serta diperoleh penurunan jumlah komplain sebesar 12.04%.
