Abstract
ABSTRAK Perusahaan tempat penulis melakukan penelitian adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang otomotif yang memproduksi berbagai macam seal untuk kendaraan bermotor dan alat berat. Bahan baku yang digunakan adalah Rubber (karet sintetis). Perusahaan ini mengalami kesulitan dalam menentukan jumlah persediaan Rubber yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan agar tidak terjadi kelebihan stok persediaan yang dapat menimbulkan kelebihan biaya persediaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dan Just In Time (JIT). Penulis bermaksud untuk membandingkan kedua metode tersebut terhadap efisiensi biaya persediaan bahan baku dan memilih metode mana yang lebih tepat untuk diaplikasikan di Perusahaan ini. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui biaya persediaan yang dikeluarkan perusahaan sebesar Rp. 6.048.000, sedangkan hasil perhitungan biaya dengan metode EOQ sebesar Rp. 3.678.175 dan metode JIT sebesar Rp. 1.320.945. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode JIT memiliki total biaya persediaan yang paling kecil dibandingkan dengan metode EOQ dan metode perusahaan. Kata kunci: Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Just In Time, Manajemen Persediaan, Efisiensi ABSTRACT The company where the author conducted research is a company engaged in the automotive sector that produces various kinds of seals for motor vehicles and heavy equipment. The raw material used is rubber (synthetic rubber). This company has difficulty in determining the amount of Rubber inventory that is in accordance with the needs so that there is no excess inventory stock that can cause excess inventory costs. The method used in this research is Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Just In Time (JIT). The author intends to compare the two methods to the cost efficiency of raw material inventory and choose which method is more appropriate to be applied in this company. From the research, it is known that the inventory costs incurred by the company are Rp. 6,048,000, while the result of the cost calculation using the EOQ method is Rp. 3,678,175 and the JIT method of Rp. 1,320,945. It can be concluded that the JIT method has the smallest total cost of inventory compared to the EOQ method and the company method.
