Abstract

Nowadays, Shoes’s industry in Indonesia is in critical situation, it indicated with a lot of Shoes’s factory was closed. PT. Panarub is one of Shoes’s factory that can exist on competition until this time. The succsess factor is Lean Production was already implemented in Production system, especially in Plant CSA. The problem is that implementation Lean Production wasn’t completed yet on Plant Chemical, this can identified that Plant Chemical have high inventory level and long lead time process. One of concept that used to reduce inventory level and lead time process on Lean Production is Pull Production. With Pull Production, company only produce on what, when and how much product that customer only needed. Therefore on this research, writer will give proposed strategy in implementing Pull Production at Plant Chemical. From the research, the result is Pull Production influence the inventory level reduction until 71%, Lead time shorted until 57%, and manpower reduction until 6%. This condition impacted to cost inventory reduction until 71% and cost manhours until 59%. Keywords ; Pull Production, Inventory, Lead Time. Pada kondisi saat ini perindustrian sepatu di Indonesia dalam masa yang sangat sulit, hal ini diindikasikan dengan banyaknya perusahaan sepatu yang tutup. PT. Panarub adalah salah satu perusahaan sepatu yang masih bertahan sampai saat ini. Faktor keberhasilan PT. Panarub adalah diterapkannya Lean Production dalam sistem produksi, terutama pada Plant CSA. Permasalahan yang terjadi saat ini adalah penerapan Lean Production di Plant Chemical belum sepenuhnya dilaksanakan, dimana ditemukan banyaknya inventory dan lead time proses yang panjang. Salah satu konsep yang dapat digunakan dalam Lean Production yang bertujuan untuk menurunkan inventory dan lead time adalah konsep Pull Production. Dengan Pull Production perusahaan hanya memproduksi pada waktu, tempat dan jumlah yang hanya dibutuhkan oleh customer. Maka pada penelitian ini, peneliti akan memberikan usulan strategi dalam penerapan konsep Pull Production pada Plant Chemical. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan, hasil yang didapatkan adalah Pull Production berpengaruh kepada penurunan inventory sebesar 71%, Lead time = 57%, dan manpower sebesar 6%. Hal ini berdampak kepada penurunan cost inventory sebesar 71% dan cost manhours sebesar 59%. Kata Kunci ; Pull Production, Inventory, Lead Time.
