Abstract
ABSTRAK PT Mitra Rubber Industries (MRI) merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak dalam pembuatan inner tube (ban dalam), yang berkomitmen untuk selalu memberikan kepuasan kepada customers dengan cara meningkatkan citra produk. Namun, berdasarkan data pengecekan oleh QC pada periode bulan Januari - Desember 2019 diketahui bahwa pada Inner Tube 2W terdapat defect dengan rata-rata 22.850 Part per Million (PPM) Defective, sedangkan batas maksimum defect yang ditetapkan oleh perusahaan adalah 10.000 PPM Defective. Oleh karena itu, akan dilakukan analisa pengendalian kualitas dengan menggunakan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Kemudian dari hasil analisa tersebut diketahui bahwa proses produksi Inner Tube 2W belum terkendali secara statistik dan incapable. Dan diketahui juga defect yang tertinggi adalah defect Blister Valve, dimana defect tersebut memiliki sebelas potential cause of failure yang akan ditanggulangi dengan beberapa recommended action yang diberikan. Setelah recommended action tersebut diterapkan, maka dapat diasumsikan akan menghasilkan 16.046 PPM Defective dari yang sebelumnya adalah 22.850 PPM Defective, sehingga akan menurunkan defect produk hingga 29,77%. ABSTRACT PT Mitra Rubber Industries (MRI) as one of the manufacturing companies moving on the inner tube, which is committed to always giving customer satisfaction by improving the product image. However, based on QC inspection data from the January - December 2019 period, it is known that the inner tube 2W has a defect with an average of 22,850 PPM Defective, while the maximum defect limit set by the company is 10,000 PPM Defective. Therefore, it needs to analyze quality control using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. Then from the analysis results, it is known that the Inner Tube 2W production process has not been controlled statistically and incapable. And it is also known that the highest defect is blister valve defect, where the defect has eleven causes of potential failure to be overcome with some of the recommended actions given. After the recommended action has been implemented, it can be assumed that it will result in 16,046 PPM Defective from the previous 22,850 PPM Defective, so that it will reduce defective products by up to 29.77%.
