Abstract

This research aims to know the relationship between attachmement with father and son on social competence of adolescent at the Faculty of psychology of the University of X. Research method used is a quantitative method. The subject in this study are students of regular active 1 Faculty of psychology of the University of X in 2016,2017,2018 grade. These gardes students are chosen because they are still included in the teen age requirement of about 17-21 years. The determination of the amounts of the sample used in this study using a sample of saturated, which means the entire population as a sample by the total respondent as much as 115 people. Measuring instrument used in this study there are two types namely gauge attachment adapted from the Inventory Of Parent And Peer Attachment (IPPA) and to gauge the social competence of adolescents researchers adapt and modify gauge previous research Rahman (2010) based on the theory of Gresham and Elliott. Data analysis technique used is a test application using Spearman correlation Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) version 22. The results in this study showed that there was a significant positive relationship between attachmement with father and son on social competence of adolescent at the Faculty of psychology of the University of X, of significant value P = 0.402 and 0.000 < 0.01, meaning the higher the attachment with father's getting higher social competence on teen son. Key words: Attachment, Social Competence, teenage son Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kelekatan pada ayah dengan kompetensi sosial remaja putra di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas X. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa aktif reguler 1 Fakultas Psikologi Universitas X angkatan 2016,2017,2018. Mahasiswa angkatan ini dipilih karna mereka masih termasuk dalam katagori usia remaja sekitar 17-21 tahun. Penentuan dalam jumlah sample yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengunakan sampel jenuh, yang artinya seluruh populasi dijadikan sebagai sampel dengan total responden sebanyak 115 orang. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ada dua jenis yaitu alat ukur kelekatan (attachment) mengadaptasi dari Inventory Of Parent And Peer Attachment (IPPA) dan untuk alat ukur kompetensi sosial remaja peneliti mengadaptasi dan memodifikasi alat ukur penelitian sebelumnya Rahman (2010) berdasarkan pada teori Gresham Dan Elliott. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi Spearmen dengan menggunakan aplikasi Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) versi 22. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapatnya hubungan yang signifikan positif antara kelekatan pada ayah dengan kompetensi sosial remaja putra di Universitas X, dengan nilai P = 0,402 dan nilai signifikan 0,000 < 0,01 yang artinya semakin tinggi kelekatan dengan ayah semakin tinggi pula kompetensi sosial pada remaja putra.
