Abstract
ABSTRAK Ketersediaan barang merupakan salah satu komponen utama yang menjadi penentu kesuksesan bisnis purna jual, dalam dunia alat berat dimana mayoritas suku cadang memiliki waktu pengadaan yang cukup lama, ketersediaan merupakan hal yang sangat diperhatikan oleh Pelanggan. Salah satu tolak ukur efektifitas persediaan adalah Days Sales in Inventory (DSI) yaitu nilai yang menunjukan ratarata waktu (dalam satuan hari) yang dibutuhkan perusahaan untuk mengubah persediaan menjadi penjualan. Pada tahun 2019 Key Performance Indicator (KPI) nilai DSI pada Perusahaan Suku Cadang Alat Berat adalah 120 Hari namun pada periode Januari-Desember 2019 target tidak dapat dicapai sehingga perlu diketahui penyebabnya dan rencana perbaikan yang dapat dilakukan. Metode DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) merupakan salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk melakukan analisa perbaikan. Setelah dilakukan penerapan DMAIC diketahui bahwa penyebab utama tingginya nilai DSI adalah metode hitung peramalan kurang tepat. Setelah diketahui penyebab masalah kemudian disusun rencana perbaikan, yaitu peninjauan kembali terhadap metode peramalan dan pengembangan sistem peramalan otomatis . Kata Kunci : Persediaan, Days Sales of Inventory, Key Performance Indicator, Penerapan DMAIC. ABSTRACT Spare part availability is one of the determinant factors that become the crucial point in after-sales business, in a heavy equipment industry where the majority of spare parts have a long procurement time, availability considered one of the main issues for Customers. Days sales of inventory (DSI) is a standard which can measure stock effectivity, DSI is a financial ratio that indicates the average time in days that a company takes to turn its inventory into sales. In 2019, The Key Performance Indicator (KPI) indicates that the DSI value should be 120 days, meanwhile from January to December 2019 Company can not achieve the targetted KPI so an improvement activity should be initiated to find out the cause and initiate an improvement proposal. DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) is a method that mainly used to find the cause for a problem. Based on DMAIC application, it was found that the main cause for the DSI problem is inaccurate forecasting method. Once the main cause found, the proposed improvement is forecasting method review and automatic forecasting system.
