Abstract

This study is acknowledge to find out how psychosocial development of teenagersespecially girls- who married between the ages of 15-18 years in North Jakarta. Subjects were obtained with snowball technique between subjects with one another, except for 1 subject obtained through a different contact person. Data retrieval is done through interviews and observations of the subject. Data triangulation was conducted by interviewing the significant others subjects and several subjects were carried out with re-checking techniques to ensure the researchers' interpretations were the same as those intended by the subjects. The results of the study show that the background of the subject's decision to marry at the age of adolescents is different, their readiness to marry varies and when experiencing problems in marriage, subjects also respond in different ways. 2 out of 5 subjects married on the basis of religious belief that marriage is worship, 3 out of 5 subjects get married for economic reasons. Subjects who were married for reasons of faith were more ready to get married and when faced with problems in marriage were also more able to manage emotions. Subjects who were married for economic reasons on average had experienced difficulties in managing emotions when problems occurred in marriage. Keywords: Psychosocial development. Teenage marriage. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perkembangan psikososial remaja perempuan yang telah menikah pada usia antara 15-18 tahun di Jakarta Utara. Subyek diperoleh dengan tehnik snowball antara subyek satu dengan yang lain, kecuali 1 subyek yang diperoleh melalui kontak person berbeda. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dan observasi terhadap subyek. Triangulasi data dilakukan dengan wawancara kepada significant others subyek dan beberapa subyek dilakukan dengan tehnik cek ulang (re-checking) untuk memastikan interpretasi peneliti sama dengan yang dimaksud oleh subyek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan latar belakang pengambilan keputusan subyek untuk menikah pada usia remaja yang berbeda-beda, kesiapan mereka untuk menikah berbeda-beda dan pada saat mengalami masalah dalam pernikahan, subyek juga merespon dengan cara yang berbeda-beda. 2 dari 5 subyek menikah dengan dasar keyakinan agama bahwa menikah adalah ibadah, 3 dari 5 subyek menikah dengan alasan ekonomi. Subyek yang menikah dengan alasan keyakinan lebih siap untuk menikah dan ketika menghadapi masalah dalam pernikahan juga lebih mampu mengelola emosi. Subyek yang menikah dengan alasan ekonomi rata-rata pernah mengalami kesulitan dalam mengelola emosi ketika terjadi persoalan dalam pernikahan. Kata kunci: Perkembangan psikososial.
