Abstract

This study examines the loneliness relation with social media addiction, especially on the Facebook and Instagram platforms for the early adult women who were married in Menteng district, Bogor. This study uses a correlational quantitative method with a measuring instrument used in the form of a UCLA Loneliness Scale (version 3) questionnaire to measure loneliness and Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale to measure social media addiction. With a sample of 91 early adult women who were married in Menteng district, Bogor. Using a spearman correlation test which proves that this study has a Sig. (2-tailed) p = 0.391 which means that there is no relation between loneliness and social media addiction (facebook and instagram) to early adult women who were married in Menteng district, Bogor. From the analysis of the results of the data show that the level of loneliness with the level of social media addiction is at a low level. Keywords : loneliness, social media, social media addiction, facebook, instagram, married Penelitian ini menguji hubungan loneliness dengan social media addiction, khususnya pada platform facebook dan instagram pada wanita kelompok dewasa awal yang sudah menikah di kelurahan Menteng, Bogor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan alat ukur yang digunakan berupa kuesioner UCLA Loneliness Scale (versi 3) untuk mengukur loneliness dan Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale untuk mengukur social media addiction. Dengan jumlah sampel 91 wanita dewasa awal yang sudah menikah di kelurahan Menteng, Bogor. Menggunakan uji korelasi spearman yang membuktikan bahwa penelitian ini memiliki nilai Sig. (2-tailed) p = 0,391 yang artinya tidak ada hubungan antara loneliness dengan social media addiction (facebook dan instagram) pada wanita dewasa awal yang sudah menikah di kelurahan Menteng, Bogor. Dari analisis hasil data menunjukkan bahwa tingkat loneliness dengan tingkat social media addiction berada pada taraf rendah.
