Abstract

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PERCEPTION OF PARENTING WITH SMARTPHONE ADDICTION IN ADOLESCENTS Yusuf Angga Setya Dhamara, Mistety Oktaviana Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Mercu Buana ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the relationship between parenting with smartphone addiction in adolescents. The population in this study were students of class X and XI of SMA Negeri 64 Jakarta. The sample of this study was 262 students. The sampling technique used is the proportional random sampling technique. The measuring instrument used to measure smartphone addiction is SPAI-I and the measuring tool used for parenting is PPQ. The results of data analysis showed that there was a significant negative relationship between authoritative parenting with smartphone addiction (rxy = -0.182) (p = 0.013) (p < 0.05), there is no significant relationship between authoritarian parenting with smartphone addiction (p = 0.815) ( p > 0.05), there is no significant relationship between permissive parenting with smartphone addiction (p = 0.549) (p > 0.05), and there is no significant relationship between parenting not involved with smartphone addiction (p = 0.162) (p > 0.05). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X dan XI SMA Negeri 64 Jakarta. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 262 siswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah teknik proporsionate random sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur adiksi smartphone yaitu SPAI-I dan alat ukur yang digunakan untuk pola asuh yaitu PPQ. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara pola asuh otoritatif dengan adiksi smartphone (rxy = -0.182) (p = 0.013) (p < 0.05), tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pola asuh otoriter dengan adiksi smartphone (p = 0.815) (p > 0.05), tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pola asuh permisif dengan adiksi smartphone (p = 0.549) (p > 0.05), dan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pola asuh tidak terlibat dengan adiksi smartphone (p = 0.162) (p > 0.05).
