Abstract
The majority of Indonesian nowadays is still careless about the amount of waste produced everyday. Moreover, DKI Jakarta alone produced about 1900-2000 tons of plastic waste every single day. Plastic waste is the kind of waste that is very hard to decompose, it takes hundreds of years for the waste to decompose. Based on that problem, the writer opt to raise people’s awareness regarding this issue, starting by making a social campaign called “Pola Hidup Minim Sampah”. By visualizing ideas and easy steps to manage our own waste into a simple, appealing, and easy to understand informations, the writer is hopeful that this social campaign “Pola Hidup Minim Sampah” could decrease the amount of waste being produced specifically in Jakarta. Key Word: lifestyle, minimize waste, Jakarta. Mayoritas masyarakat Indonesia saat ini masih belum bahkan cenderung cuek atau acuh terhadap masalah sampah yang dihasilkan setiap harinya. Apalagi DKI Jakarta sendiri setiap harinya menghasilkan 1900 - 2000 ton sampah plastik. Padahal sampah plastik adalah sampah yang sangat sulit untuk terurai, dibutuhkan puluhan bahkan ratusan tahun untuk terurai. Oleh karena itu perancang ingin meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang masalah sampah ini dengan membuat sebuah kampanye sosial “Pola Hidup Minim Sampah”. Dengan memunculkan ide ide atau tata cara mengelola sampah dan di proyeksikan ke dalam bentuk visual yang simple, menarik dan mudah dimengerti. Dengan ini peneliti berharap kampanye sosial “Pola Hidup Minim Sampah” bisa menekan angka produksi sampah khususnya di Jakarta. Kata Kunci: Pola Hidup, Meminimalisir Sampah, Jakarta
