Abstract

Beauty is an important aspect for every woman. All aspects are considered from head to toe, each beauty product and method is used to achieve the goals of a woman's beautiful criteria. Not infrequently this causes a woman to become obsessed with achieving beautiful goals by doing a number of things, not costing cheap things such as going to a beauty salon regularly, buying drugs or beauty products at a high enough price with the assumption of getting instant results for her beauty. "Beauty Hacks Ala Javanese" is one of the book designs that aims as a guide and introduction in caring for beauty and health of the body by using natural ingredients inherited from Javanese female ancestors. This design is shown to the predetermined target market, namely women in the range of adolescents and young adults. With the method of collecting data from the survey to the resource persons, the target is the acece itself through questionnaires and conducting research through print and digital media. This design is tailored to the design and visual strategy that takes a simple illustration, but has its own characteristics. The result to be achieved in this design is the emergence of more desire for women to use natural ingredients to care for their health and beauty without spending a fortune, packaged with an illustrative approach as supporting media for information contained in the book "Beauty Hacks Ala Javanese" so that readers can be more interested and not give the impression of being boring in reading. Key Word: beauty, Javanese, illustration Kecantikan merupakan aspek penting bagi setiap wanita. Semua segi diperhatikan dari ujung rambut sampai ujung kaki, setiap produk dan metode kecantikan digunakan demi mencapai goals dari kriteria cantik seorang wanita. Tidak jarang hal ini menimbulkan seorang wanita menjadi terobsesi untuk mencapai goals cantik dengan melakukan beberapa hal, mengeluarkan biaya yang tidak murah misalnya pergi ke salon kecantikan secara rutin, membeli obat atau produk kecantikan dengan harga yang cukup tinggi dengan asumsi mendapatkan hasil yang instan untuk kecantikannya. “Beauty Hacks Ala Javanese” ini merupakan salah satu perancangan buku yang bertujuan sebagai panduan dan pengenalan dalam merawat kecantikan dan kesehatan tubuh dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan alami yang diwariskan oleh leluhur wanita Jawa. Perancangan ini ditunjukkan kepada target market yang sudah ditentukan yaitu wanita dalam rentang remaja dan dewasa muda. Dengan metode pengumpulan data dari survey kepada narasumber yaitu target audiance itu sendiri melalui kuisoner dan melakukan research melalui media cetak dan digital. Perancangan ini disesuaikan dengan desain dan strategi visual yang mengambil sebuah ilustrasi sederhana, tetapi memiliki karakteristik tersendiri. Hasil yang ingin dicapai dalam perancangan ini adalah timbulnya keinginan lebih kaum wanita dalam menggunakan bahan alami untuk merawat kesehatan dan kecantikan tubuhnya tanpa mengeluarkan biaya yang mahal, dikemas dengan pendekatan ilustrasi sebagai media pendukung informasi yang terdapat di dalam buku “Beauty Hacks Ala Javanese” ini agar pembaca dapat lebih tertarik dan tidak memberikan kesan yang membosankan dalam membaca.
