Abstract
The house is one of the basic human needs after the need for clothing and food. That need will continue to exist and develop according to the stages or cycles of human life. So that the needs cause population overcrowding in urban areas and some begin to think to settle in the suburbs with residential modes that support the necessities of life as well as the provisions of a wellmanaged settlement, ie cluster housing that is highly sought after in suburban areas because of a managed settlement. Residential housing (cluster) is very much in interest and developed in suburban areas by private parties who work closely with the government to support residential needs in the city scope. In this case various kinds of problems emerge that occur in both different environments with respect to the boundaries of housing along with the environment around the boundary, in the conflict that can emerge perceptions and responses from both residents of the environment where each occupant has their own arguments and opinions each of the environment they are inhabiting. Keywords: Perception, Response, gated community, Graha raya Bintaro. Rumah adalah salah salah satu kebutuhan pokok manusia setelah kebutuhan akan sandang dan pangan. Kebutuhan itu akan terus ada dan berkembang sesuai dengan tahapan atau siklus kehidupan manusia. Sehingga kebutuhan menyebabkan kepadatan penduduk di perkotaan dan sebagian mulai berfikir untuk bermukim di pinggiran kota dengan moda hunian yang menunjang kebutuhan kehidupan serta ketentuan sebuah pemukiman yang terkelola dengan baik, yaitu pemukiman cluster yang sangat di cari di area pinggiran kota karena sebuah pemukiman yang terkelola. Pemukiman perumahan (cluster) ini sangat banyak di minati dan di kembangkan di area pinggiran kota oleh pihak swasta yang bekerja sama dengan pemerintah untuk menunjang kebutuhan hunian di ruang lingkup kota. Dalam hal ini muncul berbagai macam masalah yang terjadi pada kedua lingkungan yang berbeda terhadap batas yang ada pada perumahan berpagai dengan lingkungan sekitar batas, dalam konflik yang terjadi dapat memunculkan persepsi maupun respon dari kedua penghuni lingkungan yang mana setiap penghuni memiliki argumen serta pendapat mereka masing-masing terhadap lingkungan yang sedang mereka huni.
