Abstract

Setiap perusahaan memiliki perencanaan jangka panjang dan juga perencanaan jangka pendek dalam menjalankan strategi bisnisnya. Perencanaan yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan tentunya sangat terkait dengan modal yang dimiliki oleh perusahaan.Struktur modal yang baik pada akhirnya akan meningkatkan nilai perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh bukti empiris terkait factor factor apa yang berpengaruhterhadap struktur modal. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian meliputi tanggibility,profitability, firm size, growth opportunities, business risk dan liquidity. Populasi penelitian adalah industri makanan dan minuman di Bursa Efek Indonesia, sampel diambil dengan metode purposive untuk periode tahun 2007 sampai dengan 2013.Data dianalisis dengan metode regresi berganda.Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa hanya profitabilitas dan liquiditas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap struktur modal. Koefisien profitabilitas dan liquiditas bertanda negatip maka bermakna bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat profitabilitas semakin rendah tingkat hutang. Profit yang meningkat menyebabkan perusahaan mampu mendanai investasinya dengan dana internal. Adapun tingkat likuiditas semakin tinggi maka mencerminkan perusahaan tersebut mempunyai dana internal yang tinggi sehingga mampu membayar kewajiban jatuh temponya. Kata kunci : Strukur Modal, TDAR (Total Debt to Asset Rasio), Tangibility, Profitability, Firm size, Growth opportunities Business risk, Liquidity. Every company has long term plan and short term plan in executing their business strategy. The plan is done by the company surely related to the capital owns by the company. Good Capital structure in the end will increase the company’s value. The purpose of this research is to get empiric proof related to which factors influenced towards capital structure. The variable used in the research covering tangibility, profitability, firm size, growth opportunities, business risk and liquidity. The research population is the food & beverage industries on Stock Exchange Indonesia, samples were taken using purposive method for the period 2007 to 2013. The data was analyzed with multiple regression method. The result of the research concludes that only profitability and liquidity that significant influence are towards capital structure. Co-efficient profitability and liquidity with negative sign means that the higher the level of the profitability, the lower the level of debt. Profit that increases caused the company able to fund its investment with internal funds. Should the liquidity level gets higher, therefore it reflects that the company has high internal fund and able to pay the due date’s responsibilities.
