Abstract
Kebutuhan akan komunikasi yang murah dan efisien menjadikan VoIP salah satu aplikasi yang diminati oleh banyak orang. Internet telah menjadi salah satu alat komunikasi yang telah digunakan oleh masyarakat luas berbasiskan VoIP. Suatu teknologi yang mampu melewatkan lalu lintas suara adalah Vowifi (Voice over WiFi) yaitu suatu jaringan nirkabel menggunakan media access point dengan menggunakan codec voice tertentu maka komunikasi voice bisa dilakukan. Teknologi Vowifi juga mempunyai kendala yaitu Quality of Service dari setiap panggilan voice yang dilakukan, banyak parameter yang harus di analisa untuk dapat melakukan panggilan voice melewati media access point ini. Dari sinilah muncul suatu pemikiran tentang bagaimana mengimplementasikan suatu sistem Vowifi serta analisa QoS menggunakan multiplatform OS client pada suatu jaringan Hotspot yang ada di Kampus Politeknik Indramayu. Kemudian dilakukan analisis Quality of Service (QoS), antara lain pengukuran delay, jitter, packet loss, dan Mean Opinion Score (MOS). Secara keseluruhan didapatkan perbandingan antara pengukuran data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif relative sama, yang kesemuanya sesuai dengan standard yang telah direkomendasikan oleh ITU-T; dan secara keseluruhan QoS yang didapatkan dengan hasil cukup memuaskan. KATA KUNCI: Voip over Wifi, voip over wlan The need for cheap and efficient communications makes VoIP an application of interest to many people. The Internet has become one of the communication tools that have been used by the public based on VoIP. A technology capable of passing voice traffic is Vowifi (Voice over WiFi) is a wireless network using a media access point using the specific voice codec voice communication can be done. Vowifi Technology also has constraints the Quality of Service of any voice calls made, many parameters have to be analyzed to be able to do voice calls through the media's access point. From this came the idea of how to implement a system and analyzes QoS Vowifi use multiplatform client OS on an existing hotspot network in Politeknik Indramayu campus. Later analysis of Quality of Service (QoS), such as the measurement delay, jitter, packet loss, and Mean Opinion Score (MOS). Overall comparison between measurements obtained qualitative data and quantitative data is relatively the same, all in accordance with the standards that have been recommended by ITU-T, and the overall QoS were obtained with satisfactory results.
