Abstract

The purpose of this study describes and analyzes the effect of job satisfaction and motivation to discipline the employee. The analytical method used in this research is multiple linear regression. Samples were employees of PT Pos Indonesia in Central Jakarta as many as 189 people. Sampling method used is Stratified Random Sampling with technique of taking sample with regard strata (levels) in the population. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The validity of the items tested by the Pearson product moment correlation coefficient while reliability was tested by Cronbach Alpha formula. The results showed there is a significant positive effect between job satisfaction on work discipline and motivation to work discipline and jointly between job satisfaction and motivation towards work discipline. The conclusion is based on the results of the study showed that motivation has a more dominant effect in influencing the improvement of labor discipline. Very strong correlation occurred between Dimensional working condition of the variable Satisfaction with variable dimensions remunetation of work discipline. Satisfaction is the variable that most influence the work discipline Keywords : Job Satisfaction, Motivation, Work Discipline. Tujuan penelitian ini menjelaskan dan menganalisis pengaruh kepuasan kerja dan motivasi terhadap disiplin kerja karyawan. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi linier berganda. Sampel penelitian adalah karyawan PT Pos Indonesia Jakarta Pusat sebanyak 189 orang. Metode Sampling yang digunakan adalah Stratified Random Sampling dengan teknik mengambil sample dengan memperhatikan strata (tingkatan) di dalam populasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen kuesioner. Validitas butir item diuji dengan korelasi product moment pearson sedangkan koefisien reliabilitas diuji dengan rumus Cronbach Alpha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara kepuasan kerja terhadap disiplin kerja dan motivasi terhadap disiplin kerja serta secara bersama-sama antara kepuasan kerja dan motivasi terhadap disiplin kerja. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan Kepuasan memiliki pengaruh yang lebih dominan dalam mempengaruhi peningkatan disiplin kerja. Korelasi sangat kuat terjadi antara Kondisi Kerja (Working Condition) dari variabel kepuasan dengan dimensi dan Balas Jasa (Remuneration) dari variabel disiplin kerja. Kepuasan merupakan variabel yang paling besar pengaruhnya terhadap disiplin kerja. Kata Kunci : Kepuasan Kerja, Motivasi, Disiplin Kerja.
