Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the causes of defective or faulty products, and how to mitigate or reduce the level of such damages. This study is a descriptive analysis of the various data collection methods with in-depth interviews, observation and demonstration. The sample used is the yield in the period March to May 2016. The results show waste product found to occur at the stage where the press due to the condition of mold filling unfilled and not maximum temperature performance sepatu heater. After analysis using Six Sigma concepts of DMAIC going improvements of all the root causes of the reduction in the number of defects less press. Keywords: Product Defects, Six Sigma, DMAIC. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penyebab produk cacat atau rusak dan bagaimana cara mengurangi atau menurunkan tingkat kerusakan tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian berjenis deskriptif analisis dengan metode pengumpulan data dengan wawancara secara mendalam, observasi dan demonstrasi Sampel yang digunakan adalah hasil produksi pada periode Maret hingga Mei 2016. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan waste product ditemukan terjadi pada tahap press filling dimana disebabkan kondisi mould tidak terisi dan tidak maksimalnya kinerja suhu sepatu heater. Setelah dilakukan analisa menggunakan metode Six Sigma dengan konsep DMAIC terjadi perbaikan dari semua akar penyebab dimana penurunan jumlah cacat kurang press. Kata Kunci: Produk Cacat, Six Sigma, DMAIC.
